Front desk was very rude n disgusting be prepared for a hefty lawsuit

This facility is HORRIBLE! My mother was a patient and sadly was there 2 years with issues and couldn’t walk. I had to constantly call and go there to argue about her care. They wouldn’t change her for hours. They were rude and disrespectful to my mom and basically called her a liar. My mom was 64 and sadly she unexpectedly passed away on January 13th almost 3 weeks ago and it’s ALL their fault. I made sure the facility called me for anything pertaining to my mom I didn’t care how big or small I wanted a call. She was in Hoboken University Hospital the week before and discharged on Friday January 7th. You’d they CastleHill would of called me to tell me my mom was discharged when she was already having breathing problems, NO they didn’t call. Less the 24 hours later I get a call from her social worker at the hospital not even someone from the facility called to tell me my mom was having problems breathing around 5 am and was given oxygen. Then 7am when the nurse shift changed she was found unresponsive in cardiac arrest and was given cpr until the paramedics came. Sadly 3 days later we found out she had no brain activity and had to take her off the machines. Why didn’t anyone at CastleHill call me? What about between 5 and 7am that my mom was found unresponsive? Did no one check on her knowing she was already having problems breathing and needed oxygen? Anyone reading this please I beg you please DO NOT send a loved ones here not only are they rude, disrespectful and nasty but they cared little for my mom and now she’s gone and I’ll never get to see her again!

My father left Christ hospital in pretty good condition to this place and went back to Christ hospital in worst. He contracted a bacterial infection that I can only presume is from the lack of sanitation there. My dad is old and has a highly compromised immune system and by just seeing the filth around his neck I can tell that he was staying in squalor there. If you want to send a very sick person to their death send them to this facility.

The WORSE place I have ever dealt with. If I could I would give them a negative 0!!! Patients are neglected, brought to doctors appointments in the winter with no coats, scarf or sweaters. No matter when you call & complain, they just pass it on to another person and that's the end of it! I call there very often for patients and it seems to get worse and worse. I wouldn't even leave a dead gold fish living there!!

I wholeheartedly agree with Lily Arango's review, this facility is absolutely terrible. It’s dirty, inhumane, and unsanitary for the patients unlucky to be spending any amount of time there. Worse for the elderly patients.I am so incredibly annoyed at the conditions where my brother is recuperating after surgery. When he sent me a video of mice in their hallways, I was gobsmacked. The New Jersey Department of Health really needs to look into this sad excuse of a "health care" facility. It disappoints and disheartens me to know that places like this "care" for the elderly and our loved ones.I expect nothing to come out of this review since, it seems, that no amount of justifiable complaining ever gets any real change done.I would desperately urge you to research another facility before letting a loved one stay at this disgraceful "health center". It does not even garner the one-star rating I had to give it.

This facility is terrible, do not trust them with your loved ones. It’s dirty and inhumane. If you complain, nothing is ever done. It reeks of fecal matter, it’s understaffed, and they would over medicate my grandmother to keep her sedated. Please look into other facilities for your loved ones.

This place with it's ill management and rude staff is an absolute disgrace. I work at a doctor's office and every patient that comes from this facility comes in completely disheveled. Excessively long and ungroomed nails and hair and beards that are a huge mess. They are often wearing dirty clothing and smell like urine. On more than one occasion they have sent patients in wheelchairs without a coat in cold weather. They treat their patients like livestock. I'm in tears sometimes when I see the condition they are in. I've had multiple bad phone experiences with the staff when I've needed to call in reference to patients. I'm distraught at the thought of the many elderly patients that have to endure the inhumane treatment they receive. Please do not send your loved one to this hell hole.

Very nice front desk person. Secure.modern visitors check in. Clean front desk and entrance. 5th floor clean, staff welcoming.
