I like Dr. Tempera, but his staff is terrible. They are not helpful or caring. Every conversation is about them being right, instead of helping solve the problem or helping the patient. I understand they do this every day, but I do not. I got the run around for a month trying to get a procedure scheduled. Initiallty, I was literally told not to call back and they would call me. After taking 19 days to get an authorization, the staff left a message at the WRONG telephone number. Of course, i didn't get the message. Since i was told not to call back i continued to wait. When I finally did call back 10 days later (29 days total), they spent all of our time reading their system notes and telling me they were right. Never once did they listen or try to help me schedule the procedure. They just kept giving me the run around. Thank goodness, I finally got in touch with Maryanne who is the only caring person in that office. She took a few minutes to actually listen, empathize, and solve the problem. If it wasn't for Maryanne helping me I would still be waiting after a month. With Maryann, it only took one call and a call back for me to understand the situation and begin scheduling my procedure. She deserves a raise! Unfortuantely, after 12 years with Dr. Tempera I will be looking for a new doctor because of his staff (except Maryanne). I can't support an office where most of the staff treats patients badly.

Dr Tempera is the best of the best! He goes way out of his way to help you and takes the time needed to make sure all your questions are answered. You will not be disappointed!

You can’t get an appointment and when you do, they cancel and the office staff is not helpful in rescheduling in a timely manner. If you actually need care, use someone else who has availability

This doctor is very rude. I constantly complained about severe abdominal pain. He told me to get a hobby it was all in my head. . Well went for a second opinion and had crohns disease. Ended up with emergency surgery and an ostomy. He is even rude to his employees. Thinks he is God. Stay away.

Awesome. Unbeatable bedside manner. Will make a big deal look routine which is very comforting!

i rarely write reviews but this one is so warranted. absolutely horrible. no follow through at all. i have been experiencing gerd (which has severely affected my asthma) for the last three months. i finally saw dr tempera two months ago. after many other tests, he ordered an endoscopy and said his office staff would contact me to schedule. after two weeks of waiting for that call, i reached out to the office at least 5 times to schedule the endoscopy. each time i was told i would receive a call that same day but never did. meanwhile my symptoms and breathing issues persisted. i am finally giving up today and will see another physician who hopefully cares about his patient’s wellbeing.

It doesn't get better than this. You make an appointment, and you go and he sees you right away. He tells you everything you need to know. He is professional, friendly, and if you call the office with a question he gets back to you right away. I have been his patient for 20 years. His latest words to me were "You are cured" Please stop in and we will have coffee sometime" I’ve seen him many times. This man safed my life.

He may be a doctor but he and his office staff are lacking any common sense. Made an appointment at an office near my home that I am familiar with. The day before the appointment his office calls to switch the location to a different office. Although it was an inconvenience to me, I obliged. Only problem is they failed to mention his Greenbrook office is inside a walk in Medemerge clinic where at least 100 people were lined up for Covid testing. So you want to expose a healthy 60 year old patient to Covid for a prep appointment that could have been done over the phone. I don’t consider that “caring for his patients”. Use you head doc!!!!!!

Kind, professional, knowledgeable, gentle, thorough, communicative..... I could go on and on about Dr Tempera He is 100% of what I hope for in a physician As for his staff, they are professional, patient and respectful Environment is clean and comfortable
