My experience was very professional and done in a timely manner
I had knee surgery with Dr. Desimone on April 30th, 2019. I started going to his office sometime in November 2018 due to lots of issues I was having with my knee. At the time, I saw Dr. Paul Buchanan for lots of visits. He is amazing. Each and every visit, we would take his time to explain everything that was going on. Not only to me but also to my mom who would accompany me. Other than that, he is overall a very nice person. I also appreciated that he didn't rush me into surgery. He tried all means possible to see if what I had could get better with either icing my knee more, steroid medications, even a shot. After trying everything, nothing worked and we concluded that it was a mechanical issue and I would need to have surgery. I thought it was a good sign that they didn't rush me into surgery just to get paid. They made me feel like they actually cared about what was going on and wanted the best treatment/options for me. I met with Dr. Desimone prior to my surgery to confirm everything was ready. He explained what was going on and the procedure process very throughly and I had no pending questions nor concerns after I left the office. I felt like I was ready for what was going to happen. He seems like a very knowledgeable doctor and is very confident in his work which makes it easier for a patient to trust him. Besides that, The surgeon I work for also trusts him (Dr. Cory Lessner) and recommended him to me. After that, I found out that lots of my friends and even patients had their surgery with him and had a good outcome. The surgical coordinator, Karla, was also very helpful throughout this entire process. She really helped me in answering many questions and/or concerns about the surgery costs, insurance, etc. They also gave me a VERY detailed packet to prepare me for what to expect day of surgery. All this made me feel way better about proceeding. Day of surgery- I have no complaints about the outpatient surgery center that they use. The nurses and even the anesthesiologist made me feel so much more comfortable when I was truly scared and nervous about the surgery. They treated me like one of their friends and made it such a nice process. Top care there and I really appreciate everythingOnce I was into the O.R. - Dr. Desimone went in and told me that everything was going to be okay and that I was in good hands. After that, I was put under general. During my 1 day post-op, I get an email with a video personally from Dr. Desimone himself with him explaining how the procedure went well, what he saw and what he corrected and how great I did. That was definitely a VERY nice touch. It was very nice for him to take time to explain that over video and send it to me. He also included his personal cell phone number in case I needed to reach him. After my first physical therapy section, I had lots of pain at night time. I had to text Dr. D around 5:30am explaining what was going on and what should I do. He texted me almost immediately and was able to get me a appointment the next morning to see him. I really appreciated that and can't believe that he texted me so quickly considering it was 5:30am.It's my 2 month post-op and I couldn't be happier. I still have some healing to do but can definitely see and feel the difference after my surgery. No doubt that Dr. D did a great job and at my 6 month post-op, I should be back to normal.I would really like to thank Dr. Paul Buchanan, Dr. Desimone and Karla for the extraordinary care that you have provided to me. If you are thinking to have knee surgery any where else, DONT!
I have visited many sports injury doctors during my 25 years of police and martial arts training. Dr DeSimone is the absolute best and most trusted doctor I will personally ever see and recommend to my students and friends. How can you go wrong with a Black Belt Jiujitsu Doctor?

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
