WORST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE!!! My 20 year old son was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis a few months ago and all of a sudden had an acute inflammation that required prompt action. We ended up at the ER at Jefferson Hospital in Washington Township (Kennedy Memorial) to then being hospitalized. Dr. Foster and the entire GI team were incapable of getting the situation under control. They changed their minds on the appropriate treatment 4 times in 48 hours to then deny the treatment for my son based upon a test result that was missing (they failed to order it in a timely manner). They kept saying that “medicine changes”, as a cover up for the fact that they did not properly communicate with each other, other doctors that they were consulting, or even accurately check testing in a timely fashion, to deliver a uniform message to the patient. We ended up having my son transferred to another hospital where he was given the treatment the same day he arrived (the missing test was not an issue at all). Besides lacking confidence, Dr. Foster is very arrogant with a huge ego. He is not interested in patient’s care but rather interested in showing off in front of his residents and inexperienced staff. He made comments to my son such as “oh you didn’t want a feeding tube? ?” ( Testing showed he didn’t need one) and stated without empathy that he would continue to lose more weight, and get worse before he got better. Dr. Foster needs to revisit the bedside manner chapter in his textbooks. Doctors like him should not be part of any medical practice that is supposed to improve people’s lives. He doesn’t care about people. Terrible doctor! Stay clear!
