For your safety seek another doctor

Several months ago, my family doctor, Dr. Sheetz, sent me to get a biopsy done above both of my temples. Dr. Montero, the doctor I was sent to, performed the biopsy. After surgery I noticed something was wrong with my right eye. I visited Dr. Montero’s office to express my concerns, and I was told to “give it time and let it heal.” I followed the directions I was given. However, I still felt as though something was wrong with my eye. Two weeks later I visited again and I was told to “give it time and let it heal.” Every time I reached out thereafter I was told the same thing. I feel that my concerns were not taken seriously. Finally, I went to Wills Eye Hospital in hopes I would find out what is wrong with my eye. I was told that I have nerve damage. A week later, I told Dr. Sheetz that I have nerve damage, and he told me that the nerve damage is a rare side-effect of the biopsy. Prior to surgery, I was never informed that such a side-effect could occur, and I have tried to contact Dr. Montero and he has not given me a call back. I am frustrated, and I feel that I have been ignored.

I had a 1:30 PM appointment today 9 October 2019 at West Sherman Ave., in Vineland, to see Dr. Montero. I arrived over 15 minutes before the appointment. The receptionist took a copy of my insurance card, and collected the $30 copay. I waited, waited, waited, and waited. Over 90 minutes later I had to leave because the doctor would not show up for the appointment. Dr. Montero, this is unprofessional. Update 27 October 2019: I got an email from Dr. Montero's office by 11 October. They apologized and offered to reschedule my appointment. I rescheduled for the 16th at 3 PM. I arrived early as before. I was checked in, seen by the doctor, paid, and out the door within 10 minutes!!! That was fantastic. Thank you :) I'm scheduled for a minor outpatient procedure on 31 October - yes on Halloween :)

My husband has had a few surgeries done by Dr. Montero over the years, he did a great job. Just after Christmas, my husband had to go to the ER for abdominal pain. Dr. Montero preformed involved emergency surgery and SAVED his life. Our Family would like to THANK HIM.

3 1/2 years ago Dr. Montero did a great job with my Daughter who came into the ER with pain due to an appendicitis. It was close to rupture. She went in for emergency surgery. Surgery, recovery, and her incisions were all wonderful. My Daughter was 13yrs at the time. His Bedside manner was great.

Excellent Doctor I wouldnt go anywhere else

I never thought I would post a bad review about him..... years ago he saved me from having a permanent colostomy bag due to hernias around my intestines. Now I went back to him because I have the same symptoms and he brushed it off as just as it being my weight! Never even looked at the ultrasound I had done! Said he would order a CAT scan... well the insurance won’t cover it because they said the hernias showed up in the ultrasound! I feel like I was discriminated against because of my weight.

Office horrible, I couldn't schedule my first appointment by phone

Dr Montero did my surgery in April and I was very satisfied with the way he explained every thing. He is a very nice friendly doctor and I would highly recommend him.
