Bad. Don't recommend my mom worked for him
A very close friend of mine had a problem mole that she had a biopsy on in between the years of 2014-2015. The results were never relayed to her. She never received any information regarding the sample. In July 2019 she was diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic melanoma. Immediately after she learned of her diagnosis and at the direction of her Oncologist, she attempted on numerous occasions to get the records of the biopsy. She was told that the facility she went to, “Derm One” had been closed and her records were LOST. They told her that her RECORDS WERE LOST. She DIED 19 days after her 28th birthday from the cancer that COULD had been prevented had SOMEONE notified her of her biopsy results. Dr. Geffner, please feel free to contact me directly if you miraculously find any records for Jordyn O’reilly.
I WENT TO CERTIFIED DERM. IN OLD BRIDGE NJ ON 10/1/2021. I PAID A $45 CO PAY WHEN IN ALL REALITY SHOULD HAVE ONLY PAID $30.00. STILL IT WAS PAID. ON 10/20/21 I RECIEVED ANOTHER BILL FOR $30.00 FOR A CO PAY CHARGE FOR MY 10/1/21 VISIT. THIS HAD ALREADY BEEN PAID FOR. AFTER SPEAKING WITH MY INSURANCE I WAS TO ONLY PAY $30. ON TOP OF THIS MISHAP, THEY WERE RE BILLING ME ANOTHER $30 FOR THE SAME VISIT. I CALL THE BILLING DEPARTMENT TO GET THIS RESOLVED AND THE RECPTIONSIT WAS CLUELESS, SHE COULD NOT EVEN LOCATE MY RCPT. I ASKED FOR THE OFFICE MANAGER WHO PLACED ME ON HOLD FOR 16 MINUTES, ASKED ME FOR MY CARD NUMBER TO REFUND MY $15.00, AND THEN TOLD ME THE NEW BILL WOULD BE WRITTEN OFF AS I SHOULD NOT HAVE RCVD THIS. I ASKED FOR HER MGR BC SHE HAD A VERY RUDE TONE AND MANNER AND THAT WAS EVEN WORSE. THE CORPORATE ADMIN. WHO REFUSED TO GIVE ME HER NAME ( THEY BOTH SAID THERE NAME WAS NANCY) refused to help me solve the matter, still waiting on a call for check number. refused to let me talk
Left a 2 inch long "X" scar on my head with negligent cutting technique and ATROCIOUS stitching. Brought to attention of his office and his assistance said "No, he does good work. We can cut it back open for you if you want, you'd have to make another appointment." UNBELIEVABLE.

I had a cyst on my scalp, it would grow and shrink on and off. It became very bothersome to even wash and brush my hair. I was referred to him to get it surgically removed and it has been the best decision. Though it is still healing, (I go next week to get the stitches removed) it was not a bad experience. Dr. Geffner made me feel comfortable during the whole process. He’d tell me what he was going to do and asked if I was okay the entire time.
I did not like the outcome of the melanoma surgery that Dr Geffner did. I have a large scar and it is raised. The assistant kept telling me while he was doing the surgery that he is so good with making sure the scar would be minimized, That did not happen. I would not recommend this doctor.
This practice is so unprofessional and if you give them a deposit but cancel service because they made you wait too long and you have to leave they refuse to refund your money. Such a shame they are so money hungry to take advantage of their patients.
Did not see this dr but he owns this practice. His billing mgr said she discussed my issue with Dr. Geffner and he agreed to NOT refund my $100 that they took from me as a deposit for a service I did not get because 1)they made me wait 1 1/2 hours and I had to leave and 2) I was told I could not be in the sun and it is summer, no way to avoid the sun. I said I wanted to reschedule and decided to wait ...
My father was told he needed three MOHS surgeries for squamous cell on his legs. He received his first surgery and found out after a second opinion that Dr. Geffner operated on the wrong area of the leg. My father ended up in the hospital for 3 nights after getting cellulitis around the surgical wound. We also found out he did not need surgery on the other spots as they could not be found. I would definitely find another dermatologist!!!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
