Caring and friendly staff.
I wish I could give a 0 star rating. The staff is rude and lacks empathy. In December of 2018 I called with a problem and was told that my problem was of no concern and everyone is "busy from the holidays" and "call back in a month". In early January I discovered I was pregnant, and after a visit to the emergency room I learned the pregnancy was ectopic. It was an absolute horrific experience and had this office taken me seriously my experience could have been a little bit easier to handle. Women are not listened to or taken seriously at this practice. Shame on them.
The year was 1966 Dr. Ronald Portadin was working at St Vincent Hospital in NYC. Dr.Portadin help my mother during delivery and I was born. Thank you Dr. Portadin. I called your office and left a message with the secretary she seen not interested. All I wanted to do is say hello and Thank you Dr. Portadin. My Mother told me that her pregnancy was not easy because I had a big head for a baby. My Mother was 19 years old at the time of birth and Dr. Portadin managed to deliver me safely. Thank you Doctor! Samuel Perlmutter jr.
Dr. Portadin is too fast, obnoxious, senile, and abrupt. My 1st visit, I tried to explain I was bleeding heavy, passing clots, I could see my uterus poking out, I was severely anemic and I was afraid. This man, wouldn't let me get one word in, was really quick like he didn't want to touch me, he kept saying "you're 39! your body changes! You had children! what do you expect! he never did a breast exam. The experience was a nightmare. He told me I was fine and sent me on my way. I knew something was wrong. I returned and asked to meet with Dr Gewertz his colleague (another story) and he did a re-examination and found a uterine prolapse (which he said , You can live with it), and after a endometrial biopsy that I had fibroids but no cancer, I was told. The office set me up with some specialist to perform the hysterectomy. The specialist did not accept my insurance. I told Dr. Portadins office and they told me they could no longer help me with that. I had to find a specialist on my own. It took me 3 agonizing months to find the right person. I had to start all over again with test etc. I ended up with Cooper University Hospital. I was diagnosed with adenomyosis, I had a full hysterectomy, and I had surgery for bladder prolapse. I was loaded with uterine and ovarian cyst. My new Dr. said everything completely collapsed. Dr. Portadin and his office was a waste of time, insensitive, and negligent, I think both Doctors are physically and mentally to old (80 years old or will be very soon), which put many women at risk. and I don't recommend him or any of his practices.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
