List of Blumenthal Andrew M Do's Reviews
I had minor issues with the practice for a while, but stayed due to inertia… so hard to establish a new physician relationship. Practice was too far from my new home, but I stayed. Practice had advertisements for ancillary services in waiting area and every treatment room, which annoyed me, but I stayed. The morning after I was in ER after treatment for a sprained ankle, office called me to ask how I was, but that was just a pretext to tell me they offered urgent care services. Oh, I should have remained in pain until the next day? Final straw was on the last visit. The doctor, who I suppose felt he had the right to be overly familiar, said about me “I needed to get laid.” I never returned. I should have reported him…
My visit was excellent, very experience and professional.
Do not reccomend him
Dr Blumenthal has been my PCP for over 15 years. He is professional and knowledgeable and totally up to date on advancements in the medical field. Friendly yet direct, he displays a high degree of understanding as well as personal empathy and compassion to my medical issues. And he spends as much time as necessary with me to diagnose, resolve and fully explain my medical issue.
I am a retired financial services professional about to turn 70 and have been seeing Dr B for about 15 years during which time I have had some pretty serious medical issues. I saw him after my then PCP left the practice. I was ready to change anyway because that PCP only told me what he thought I wanted to hear and missed a few things along the way. Yes, when I first met him he seemed abrupt and I didn't always understand his sense of humor but you should know that he will take the time to explain anything he can to make you comfortable with any medical condition and treatment that you will be receiving , even if it's from a SPECIALIST since they rarely make the time to explain much at all except the basics. I have relied on him to be honest and upfront with me so that I could feel comfortable making the best decision for treatment regarding my health.
Good doctor - cares about the health of his patients. I have been seeing him for over 10 years and am very satisfied with the care I receive.
Always takes time to answer questions. He is both approachable and truly cares about his patients.
As a Critical Care nurse with advance degrees I'd like to respond to some comments made by other patients. Yes, he can he be brisk, but he won't waste your time. If you came in for something like a cold or pink eye - you're not looking at a long visit. He can run late, but that is only because when something unexpected comes up he takes his time with that patient and family. He tells you what you need to know without "fluffing" it. He is direct, not rude. Who wants to hear that you have to lose weight because that's the cause of your issues...not any of us, but we need to be told . It is still our choice what we do with that knowledge to fix our issues. Don't blame the doctor if you're fat or not doing the right thing. Texting on his phone - yes, it happens. He will excuse himself if he has to answer a message. He is a family man and has young children and cannot control when they call or message him. A man who loves his family is a plus as a doctor. We've all had the miserable prick of a doctor who doesn't like people. He has a sense of humor which is what I like. His comments have never been offensive. As per the person who commented about the married couple intercourse - if something bothers you say so when it happens. You just posting doesn't allow us to fairly judge (did you give him the opportunity to apologize or did you not like talking about sexual activity? IT has A LOT to do with our health and it is ALWAYS relevant). I've recommended this doctor to my family, friends and colleagues and not one has complained and we all still go to him. I've never seen the other doctor, but his Nurse Practitioner Beth is amazing too!
I have seen dr Blumenthal during past 5-6 years with different health issues. my husband and I are satisfied with services and advises he provided to us. Dr. Blumenthal is an excellent doctor, would recommend to everyone. Staff is lukewarm but it's ok, not my number one priority.
Both my husband and I have seen this physician only when another doctor in the practice was not available. Texting on his phone DURING an office visit, making inappropriate comments about the amount of times per year we as a married couple engage in sexual activity makes this "doctor" not only unprofessional but completely ignorant as a human being. We now go to a minute clinic if he is the only one available.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
