I waited 1.5 hours with my second doc who told me he was retiring in 2 weeks. My first doc also retired so I'm given an appointment with a second one who is also retiring Not happy

Donna and Sherilynn are wonderful! They really put me at ease throughout my infusion experience and made the process so easy and truly painless. The entire GI team at Virtua has been so responsive and helpful; you couldn’t ask for better care.

I needed an iron infusion and everyone was so cheerful and professional. Donna McGee, RN, was so wonderful making you feel relaxed and assuring. I would definitely recommend this office for treatment. Thank you to Sherilyn and Theresa also.

I took my daughter to see Dr Hasmi. He was rude, impatient, lacked a bedside manner & didn't believe my daughter had the diseases she was hospitalized in CHOP for years over the past nine years of her life. He had all of her records & tests. He then proceeded to tell us that he had no idea why her Dr at CHOP would have her on the medications that he does, he'd never heard of using them for her diseases. He bashed on each one & the Dr. Even if a Dr feels that way, how horrific to put down another professional in the same field! I informed him that her main Dr welcomed him to reach out as the transition was made from a pediatric to adult doctor. He ignored me, as he never acknowledged my presence. We came to him for a specific disorder as a result of one of her diseases. He refused to acknowledge that until he retested her for all of her main diseases, as, again. he did not believe that she had the diseases CHOP has diagnosed her with again & again. She kept reiterating the pain she was in & difficulty carrying on with life with this disorder. She was unable to eat or drink. He kept ignoring her. He wrote the order for these tests, & I asked what we were doing about why we came in. In the most condescending tone, he reiterated his plan, he'd see my daughter in six weeks. I said she'd be hospitalized by then if this goes untreated. He repeated the same words; louder in a more authoritive tone. Now he acknowledged me. There is no worse feeling for a person to go to a doctor & not be believed, let alone a child. An 18 year old is still a child, especially at a Dr's office. Doctors intimate grown adults! I know specialists are not known for their great bedside manner, that's okay. But to be rude, there is no excuse. To allow a patient to leave in obvious pain is against why I thought one becomes a doctor. We left & went to the Emergency Department. My daughter was dehydrated, missed by the doctor; as she stated it hurts to eat or drink. Unfortunately, this disorder is back, but my daughter knew that too. Had she waited the six weeks, well, she couldn't have. Medication was given. Respect was given. Time was given. Oh, & they believed her when she described what she was feeling. Amazing. What one would expect in the medical field!

Dr. Velasco and my infusion nurse Donna, as well as the nurses and receptionists, are top notch! I am so grateful to have this practice! We had a rough start because when we first called to schedule the experience was not up to par, but since then we have built a great relationship with the practice and I wouldn’t dream of going elsewhere.
