Janet Krommes's Online Review Report Card

I went to see Dr. Krommes and left feeling worse than when I had walked in. She was quick to dismiss my symptoms. She said my hip pain was bursitis (no imaging), and a script for physical therapy was given. My hands would balloon up like little hams without any reason or pattern to it. The inside of my cheeks would also swell for no reason. She said the hands and mouth swelling could be Angioedema and maybe I should see an allergist. She attributed my chronic fatigue to possible sleep apnea and recommended perhaps a sleep study. With a positive SSB (Sjogren’s antibodies) and high ANA, I left that office and never returned. I was so discouraged, and did not want to ever feel like again, so I never followed up with any doctors. For six years the same symptoms continued, but this time I had renal involvement and the hip was so bad that it froze. I finally got the nerve to see another local rheumatologist who I believe saved my life. After a consultation, exam, labs and images, I was diagnosed with Lupus and Sjogren’s Syndrome. The work-up also showed that I am cardiolipin antibody positive, which explains my four miscarriages. I was put on the appropriate medication (Plaquenil) and guess what? My life got better and I felt the best I had in years. My hands and inner cheeks stopped swelling, I no longer required naps throughout the day and could be an active and productive adult again. Also a simple daily blood thinner allowed me to carry a pregnancy to full term. I would never recommend Dr. Krommes.

I had my first visit with Dr. Krommes in the Hamilton, NJ office - what an A+ experience. I was met with professionalism, kindness, attentiveness and patience, not to mention a wealth of medical knowledge in her field. I highly recommend Dr. Krommes.

My first appointment I waited for over a month and was very excited based on these reviews. I spent more time in the waiting area than my exam room and was flabbergasted at the lack of care or concern I was given. I may have gotten on her on a bad day, but I didn't feel she was thorough at all. I brought my own folder from other Specialists and my PCP with diagnoses. I have fibromyalgia and Psoriatic Arthritis with a family hx of Lupus. She didn't feel I had any of what was written and showed me a pamphlet of Hyperflexability in Children and said as we get older, this causes joint pain. I actually started to cry because of PURE FRUSTRATION, and then she added there may be an "emotional component" which was so offensive I couldn't believe it! I wish I had the same experiences as above. I DID NOT and cancelled my follow-up appointment. Waste of time to get insulted and not feel any better!!

First time visit . Took the time to listen , explained what she expected from me . Very kind and caring person and physician . She was very confident in my treatment. Would highly recommend Dr. krommes .

Dr. KRommes is excellent. She takes her time and listens to all my concerns. It took me a long time to find her and I am very glad I did!

Dr.Krommes literally saved my Mother who was suffering for years with terrible pain and had been given misdiagnosis by other medical professionals. Dr.Krommes medical expertise was a life saver!!! I highly recommend her.

Dr. Krommes has been my rheumatologist for over ten years. She is extremely knowledgeable in her field. She gives me her full attention and time during my exams. I am very comfortable with her and can ask her any and all questions about my overall health. I would highly recommend her.
