Great doctors and nurses!! I've been going for 30 years. Would not trust anyone else.
Doctors are nice. Receptionists are usually rude on the phone. They don't upload any of the test results or appointment information to their patient portal anymore and when I asked the medical records lady why everything that used to be on there disappeared going all the way back to 2016, she gave me an attitude and just said no they don't use that. What's the point of a patient portal for medical records if you don't use it? Some patients like to know what's going on and keep records of it especially when discussing issues with other specialists. I love a couple of doctors there but the rest of the staff is making me wonder if I should find somewhere new.
I've been going to Garden State OBGYN for 45 years and started out with Dr. Thomas Kay and the last few years have been seeing Dr. Emily Ricci. She is the most sweetest doctor ever. I always feel so comfortable and at ease with her. Keep up the great job doctor Emily. I'll be seeing you soon.
I’m a young, single, African American woman who up until recently was never pregnant. I have gone to this location for nearly 15 years. My appointments were quick and fur filled their purpose of: 1) ensuring I had no STDs and 2) making sure everything else was in order. I took some time away from birth control, but this summer I started a relationship and decided to get back on. I normally take the patches but the doctor sold me on an IUD. I’m unsure of the kick back they receive, but I was insured several times it was my best option, with no mention of side effects. When I had it inserted it was extremely painful. My cervix has never been dilated. No one told me that it would hurt, much less to that severity. If you do choose this method I suggest you have someone drive you. As I had to sit in my car for some time to regain my composure.Around the holidays my relationship ended so I went for a pregnancy test and STD testing. I was given an all clear. However, about a week after my appointment, I woke up vomiting and in a lot of pain. I went to ER to discover not only was I pregnant, but it was an ectopic pregnancy. It ruptured my fallopian tube and I was bleeding internally. I had emergency surgery and they also discovered I have two fibroids on my uterus. After listening to a commercial to an IUD, my Aunt discovered that the incredibly rare ectopic pregnancy increases in odds with an IUD. As I am recovering, my frustration comes from the complete lack of professionalism that could’ve caused me my life and now effects my fertility. This was completely avoidable. Had I been informed of the risk of an IUD, I wouldn’t be dismissive about my pain as cramps. If I had any of the pertinent information about the insertion pain or the increased odds of ectopic pregnancy I would’ve stuck to patches. The fibroids just added insult to injury. To say I’m disappointed is an understatement. I am currently looking for a real OBGYN, who actually care enough to do their job with integrity.
It’s so hard to just get them on the phone to make an appointment. My last two calls went straight to voicemail and even when on the phone with the receptionists, they come off as very rude.
I am a current patient here, last time I attended an appointment I really enjoyed the NP who examined me, she was very kind and was able to answer any questions I had.Unfortunately that was overshadowed by the check in process. I have been here several times in the past and was never treated the way I was during my past appointment. I had made a wrong turn, and so I ended up being 5-10 minutes late trying to figure out how to get around. I show up, and I believe I wrote down my time I signed in, but the check in lady was nowhere to be found and the other people at the desk paid me no mind. I waited ANOTHER 10 minutes and she showed up and gave ME a hard time about being late, then proceeded to call the area I was going to inform them I was there and then literally TALKED ABOUT HOW I WAS LATE in a condescending manner to the person on the other line. Just because I am in my 20s does NOT mean you can treat me like I am your disappointing daughter, and if this happens again, I will call you out on it right then and there and will go somewhere else. Very rude.
Great bedside manner! Very professional but still very friendly.
Best Dr in the practice - the only Dr I trust!
