Ravi Verma's Online Review Report Card

Dr. Ravi Verma is an excellent surgeon with hands of Gold. I was diagnosed with severe spinal stenosis and a bone out of place. I was very nervous about having the surgery but Dr. Verma put me at ease. He has a wonderful bedside manner. He explained everything thoroughly from the beginning of the surgery to the end and the recovery time. I was literally in pain every day now no pain at all I would recommend Him. For would recommend him to anyone looking for an excellent surgeon. He has given me my quality of life back. He is my savior.

My mother asked me to post this note on her behalf: I have the highest regard for Dr. Ravi Verma. Due to spinal stenosis, I had severe nerve pain in my lower back and legs. During my first consultation with Dr. Verma, I decided to have spinal surgery. His "bedside manner" was wonderful! He took the time to thoroughly explain the procedure and answer all my questions and concerns. Since Dr. Verma performed the surgery, I have had no more nerve pain. I strongly recommend Dr. Verma and U.O.A.

I had a microdiscectomy 2 weeks ago and I am feeling amazing!! I saw Dr. Verma almost a year ago when I began experiencing pain and numbness. He diagnosed my problem as sciatic nerve compression resulting from a herniated disc. It took several 2nd opinions and many months to get to the point of accepting that I would need surgery to relieve my symptoms. Once I decided that I would go ahead and have the surgery, I was confident that Dr. Verma would be the doctor to perform it. At every appointment he was patient, caring, and attentive. He always took the time to sit with me and discuss the diagnosis and any procedures. The entire surgery from pre-surgerical preparations to post-surgery was a wonderful experience. Now, I can't believe I waited as long as I did to have the surgery! I would highly recommend Dr. Verma!!

I’ve been dealing with back pain for many years. After failing nonsurgical treatments for many years, Dr Verma recommended surgery. I can’t believe the next day after fusion surgery I was up and walking and went home. He is amazing and the best surgeon.

I tried everything, from stretching, to tens machine, to exercising, to chiropractic. Finally made an appt with Dr. Verma. (Thought I needed a cortisone shot). Turned out I has a cyst on my L4-L5 nerve root and spondylitis. Needless to say I was shocked. Dr. Verma went over all my options and my plan for surgery in detail and eased my reservations about even having spinal surgery. His bedside manner is incredibly personable. In Sept, my cyst was removed and I had a fusion done. After surgery, Dr. Verma and his staff were so attentive to any question or concern I had. It is now 6 months after my surgery and I couldn’t be happier. I highly recommend Dr. Verma to anyone! Thank you Dr. Verma and staff!

Dr. Velma is an excellent surgeon. My initial office visit put me at ease. He explained everything in detail. The procedure became clear to me. I knew I was in the best hands. After surgery I was up and walking in no time. It has been only five weeks since my operation and I feel wonderful. Dr. Velma has my highest recommendation. He has given me back my life.

Dr. Verma performed a L5/S1 microdiscectomy on me in March 2023. I basically felt like I crawled into the operating room and at the end of the day, I walked out of the hospital to the car. I am now about 3 weeks post surgery and feeling well. Although I knew I was going to need surgery, Dr. Verma was not pushy. He gave me the information needed and let me come to the final decision. Dr. Verma is very easy to talk with, extremely knowledgeable, and his staff was excellent leading up to surgery. Thanks again Dr. Verma!!

Dr. Verma is the rare sort of doctor that acknowledges the power he has in a medical situation but never tries to condescend to the patient. This is important to note, when working with patients that have multiple conditions. I was in pain for so long because the ridiculous way my insurance wanted my condition dealt with. There is nothing more disheartening than having request after request denied. The day before our second attempt at surgery the insurance company tried to deny it. Dr. Verma HIMSELF, spoke with the adjuster and went over all my notes from my previous physician LINE BY LINE on the phone to get my surgery approved. NO DOCTOR has EVER gone to bat for me like that. Soon as I found out that my insurance had knocked the office down a tier (thus increasing my co pay from $40 to $80) I knew exactly why. Dr. Verma cares about the PATIENT, not the insurance company. If my insurance had covered the procedure months before, I would probably not have fallen down and hurt my knee/shin. When I shared this information with Dr. Verma, he was always the professional, but I could hear and see that he was very angry with my insurance because these companies are very brazen about the fact that they care about profits, not people. Doctors like Ravi Verma, MD, MBA are one of the few counterpoints to the sad state of insurance in the United States today. His first priority is for the patient, the patient's safty, the patient's comfort. He truly practices the art of medicine, and I would recommend him to anyone. Orthopedic medicine is not just a job to Dr. Verma, it is a vocation that he practices with integrity, skill, and experience.

To say he is the best is an understatement. I had sever back pain and went to Dr. Verma and was told i had no disk between my L4 and L5. He understood my need to exhaust all my options before surgery. After those options did not work I decided to get a spinal fusion. Dr. Verma walked be through the whole process , answered all of my questions and put my mind at ease. I am still recovering from my surgery and a feeling great. Thank you Dr. Verma!!!
