Dr. Abend was professional and very educational. I appreciate how he detailed everything out for me, treated me with respect, and educated me. A great doctor, I am so glad I found him.

Dr Abend took the time to explain and recommended where to get additional care. Very knowledgeable and gave great advice. He listened well and helped come up with a plan. Highly recommend him!

I was using Dr Abend for severe lower back pain. After numerous shots nothing had changed. He referred me to a surgeon, the surgery did wonders but it didn’t make the pain go away completely. So I returned to Dr Abend after about a month with less pain none the less, still in pain. Dr Abend came into the room and the first thing he said was “what are you doing here?” I fixed you! He wouldn’t sign off on a parking permit. He wouldn’t mark me as disabled yet walking from the parking lot to the store often required me to sit down. Well I followed up with back pain only to find I required a second surgery. I’m feeling better now but have been unable to work for the last 4 plus years. I am applying for disability and he refuses to give me my files that are required by the SSA. Apparently Dr Abend has failed to pay his billing company and they are holding all of his patients files. So yes Dr Abend is extremely disappointing as a doctor.

Dr. Abend is amazing! I have severe lower back pain, went to my PCP and neurologist who both basically told me it was in my head because MRIs were negative. I switched primary MDs and me new one sent me to Dr. Abend. He LISTENED TO ME! which my old doctors did not! He did a full exam and knew what the problem was based off of his assessment. He then did an EMG which confirmed his diagnosis. He is very caring and really takes the time to listen to his patients. and has 30+ years experience!

I'm a mom of two and had an emergency issue with my hip. I couldn't walk or function and needed immediate care. Dr. Paul Abend adjusted his schedule and saw me that day. He listened and treated me with care. Within 24 hours I was feeling better and able to function. Now I'm fully recovered and so thankful to know I can count on him in the future if need be.

I have been under Dr. Abend's care since 2003 for herniated discs in neck and most currently for lower back. He has gone above and beyond in his commitment to patients in diagnosis and treatment. Because of Dr. Abend I no longer have pain and spasms in my neck. He does not waist time or put a patient off in his quest for determining a treatment plan. Most recently Dr. Abend went out of his way to see me on a Saturday after I suffered injury to my low back during P'T for post full hip replacement. Dr. Abend has always sought out the best care, necessary tests and conservative treatment! I trust him and know that he cares about his patients! Thank you Dr. Abend, and to your brother Dr. Dave Abend for giving up a Saturday morning to care for me! You are the best!

Dr. Abend is dedicated to listening to and focusing on the specific problems brought to him. His professional and caring manner is a great comfort.

He is very caring and has helped me very much with relief of my pain. His office staff is very nice and always gets me an appointment quickly.

My name is Lola and my experience with Dr Abend and his office was very pleasant. I feel that he answered all of my concerns and worries. I had 2 epidural shots and feel so much better now and have a better quality of life. If I should need more treatment, I would definitely look to Dr Abend again for treatment.
