Dr. David Sundstrom's Online Review Report Card

I have had nothing but good experiences at this office. Everyone is so friendly. Maria who was my surgical coordinator was so nice and patient with me. Dr Sundstrom was great. My only complaint was I was only giving plain Tylenol when released for pain. Back surgery isn’t painless and Tylenol does nothing. I had to call office a few times to finally get something to help me get some comfort and at that only a few days worth. First week was rough but hoping to get back to normal soon. Again despite that this office is great and I would most certainly recommend them only 4 stars because I had to fight for pain meds

1st visit with Dr Sundstrom: A true professional medical doctor; no jokes, no inane chit chat. He went straight to diagnosing issue with series of hands-on medical assessments of severe neck and arm pain with some arm/hand numbness/paralysis (on one side) due to neck disc issue (years of living as an Irish Viking catching up). Dr Sundstrom recommended at-home neck traction which offered me 2 measures of reassurance: 1) he is not eager to cut nor, use steroidal injections - invasive procedures are not the immediate default; and 2) had me try a $20 over-the-door neck traction which, after using as he instructed, solved my debilitating pain which kept me working. On a final note, the admin and medical support staff is every bit as professional as Dr Sundstrom so be assured that this practice is both professional and caring with sound medical advice and treatment.

I received excellent care from the doctor. Any questions I had were addressed promptly. My back surgery was successful. I am very thankful to Dr. Sundstrom for helping to get me back to the lifestyle I was used to.

I have been in pain for several years and no one wanted to help me. I googled neurosurgeons in Wayne where I use to live and came upon Dr. Sundstrom's name. I made an appointment and I liked him from the start. He is very through and explains everything. He has performed a Laminectomy (L-3, L-4, L-5) and Cervical Fusion (C-5, C-6, C-7) on me and both came out great. I no longer have pain or numbness down my left leg and right arm and hand. I can now walk and do my crafts again. I really trust him, because he really listens to you. Pat

Great Dr. you want the best. Dr. Sundstrom is he. He did my fusion and is putting me back together again. He takes his time to know you and to listen to you. Best Dr.

I have had 2 back surgeries that was performed by Doctor Sundstrom. Prep going into the surgeries were thoroughly explained. Post op went great and followed by physical therapy. I would recommend North Jersey Spine group and Doctor Sundstrom.

I couldn't even safely hold a cup of hot coffee before my surgery. Dr.Sundstrom gave me a normal life back.

Back surgery is the last thing that anyone wants to have, but if you have to, then Dr. David Sundstrom is the one you want to operate. After having another Doctor perform an unsuccessful back surgery in New York, by one of "the best" surgeons, I came to North Jersey Spine Group. He is very professional in his area of expertise. He is not one of those doctors dependent on imaging and MRI and has his opinions. He has high moral values and doesn't perform unnecessary surgeries.
