Let’s put it this way, I’m driving from the Midwest to see Dr Mickey. We started seeing him when my oldest daughter was four, and he is simply the best. Easily worth the drive to know my kids are getting world class care.

After going around a lot trying to find a good doctor for my kids, traveling and seeing doctors around the world, i found Dr. Mickey and he is the best. We love Dr. Mickey and we recommend him to everyone.

I took my 16 month old son to see Dr. Mickey , cannot recommend this office enough !! The whole team is great , and made what could have been a stressful time very easy ! My son and I were super comfortable and at ease. Dr. Mickey is super friendly and more importantly competent , spends the time discussing any questions you have and really did well with son ! Would highly recommend this office .

My first review of this doctor and staff is below and dated. I felt it necessary to add after the experience we had a few days ago. Review #2 @2-25-20 I feel that it is very important to explain the information and experience we just recently had to be known. This must be seen and heard. My daughter has been with doctor Mickey for over 14 months. Maybe more I'm not sure. He did her bilateral recession surgery 3/24/2019. He is the definition of what a doctor should be. I don't know why this man is not on the front page of magazines all over the world. I will continue to write about him on my blog and to medical literature posts forever. He is possibly the most caring, patient, humble, intelligent, insightful, SMILING doctor we have ever met. Wonderful bedside manner, bubbly personality, loves children and somehow manages to deal with a very demanding, neurotic and difficult SN mommy like myself. Having a special needs child, we've met over 100 doctors all over the nation. I write about him and his staff constantly. I called this office the other day, 15 minutes before they were scheduled to close. My daughter went shopping with me and her eye was runny, she was very uncomfortable. I thought it was glitter, flushed her eye but she did not improve. I called the office at 4:40 p.m.. I spoke with Katie, one of the assistants, such a sweetheart, and all I did was say my daughter's name. This staff KNOWS their patients. She immediately knew who I was and put me on hold for a total of 6 seconds. The amazing Donna then answered the phone, asked me what was wrong, I explained. She took HALF a second and said, "Get in the car right now, she is uncomfortable, we need to correct this, come right now mom." So, with tears and gratitude, I packed up my little and flew to the office. We came to a packed office, were taken back within a total of 65 seconds (I have an OCD obsession with numbers..) and placed in a room AFTER closing time. Dr. Mickey came in, numbed her eye, pulled back her lid, saw a piece of glitter, removed it and we were done. It took a total of 39 minutes from the phone call to leaving the office for the whole thing. Treated with kindness, respect and just so much positivity from every single person in that office. This is not your average doctor. He treats his patients like their his own children. He treats the families as if they're his own. He is incredible beyond words.. DO NOT even bother with another ophthalmologist. This is the top of the ladder, from staff to the doctor completely. Review #1: We were referred to this doctor after 3 other opinions. He worked to the bone with us, tried at an insane level to avoid surgery, called me personally when I went into, "new/first time mom mode," and explained things to me in excellent detail. This man cares deeply for his patients. In his own words, as I left the room after signing the papers for the Bilateral Recession surgery for my daughter, "I treat all these patients as if they were my own children." My child needed help and he was our 4th opinion. Debbie called our insurance, cleared all the cost6. She did it all. He has made us feel like we are family thus far. So very highly recommended.

Dr. Mickey is truly wonderful. Started bringing my daughter to see him when she was 16 months old for a problem. He kept a very nervous Mom and Dad at ease, is very attentive and caring, and continuously truthfully reassuring. If your child needs a pediatric ophthalmologist, Dr. Mickey is the one to see.

Dr. Mickey is truly THE BEST! I went to another pediatric opthalmologist once due to needing a sooner appt for my son who is now 6, but have learned that no one compares to Dr. Mickey! He is patient, kind, thorough, and is a perfect fit for the pediatric population. His staff is equally as kind and efficient and we are so grateful to be under his care. We wholeheartedly trust him and his great work is reflected in these reviews. He also makes it a point to WASH his hands thoroughly before exams which we appreciate especially given this health climate. If I could give him a million stars, I would!
