Dr. Gritsus completed my procedure (gastric bypass) in April of this year. I had no complications and no complaints. He "held my hand" all the way through the pre-op necessities and the post-op. I am 50 lbs. lighter now and still losing weight. He is a great doctor, surgeon, and person. I would recommend him to anyone without any reservations.

I am a patient of Dr. Gritsus. He performed the sleave surgery on me in late Feb 2022. He is highly-competent as a physician and a surgeon. The surgery was performed as same-day, out-patient surgery at Hudson Crossing in Ft. Lee. This is a highly-recommended route that allows the patient to avoid the overnight stay and cost of a hospital venue. (The anesthesiologists at Hudson Crossing are also covered as Tier I providers under my insurance. So there is a savings there also that avoids the risk of going into surgery at a hospital, and not knowing which anesthesiologist will be assigned the day of surgery at the hospital, and the uncontrollable crap shoot of whether they are covered under your Tier I coverage.) If you need a good bariatric surgeon who can help you control the unknowns and the costs, Dr. Gritsus is your man.

Dr. Gritsus, gave me hope when I didn't have it, his self pay plan was a Godsend. Without it, I would of needed to travel outside the US to places where perhaps I would of faced side affects and not been near local healthcare and support. When I interviewed him one of my concerns was getting a surgeon who had done a ton of these surgeries without bad incomes and with good references, he told me he does over 600 gastric sleeves a year. He was thorough and precise. Today it's been two months since my surgery, I have dropped 40 lbs, my scars are barely visible. They healed perfectly without any infections along the way. He and his team were phenomenal at the Hudson Crossing Surgery Center in Teaneck. I went home the same day fairly comfortable with only a 30 minute drive to NY. There is no better place to put your trust in this man. You will never regret it.
