He does a thorough exam, finds out what is needed and then takes care of you. He managed my care and sent me to a great physical therapist, then reevaluated my condition. I could just feel myself get better and knew he had my back. (Sorry, Orthopedic humor)

I called because I’ve been going through horrible hip and back pain but I am a athlete who runs very often, I wanted to make a appointment with the doctor to see if there’s any way to treat my pain either through physical therapy or etc. but the receptionist Susan was so rude and refused to make my appointment she said “I’m like talking to a brick wall” and “there’s no reason to schedule an appointment”. I’m normally not one to leave a review but this was horrible I’ve never experienced anything like it in my life

My family and I have used Dr. Strauchler for many years. He is a terrific and caring physician, slow to operate, always considering alternatives.

Frankly, I've never met a physician who demonstrated more hubris than this ortho surgeon. In essence, I came to him demonstrating shoulder pain from an fall that I suffered an injury from last October. I initially saw his staff and him in November. I wanted to wait a few weeks post injury to ice, rest and immobilize the arm. All quite prudent Upon seeing him, his initial RX was to me use NSAIDS and a possible cortisone shot in a few weeks. I told him I wasn't keen on the later as I had always felt cortisone was a short term RX and I wanted to approach my possible rotator cuff/ bicep tear with PT etc. He recommended an X-ray too. Ok all quite prudent and non invasive overall. Saw him again after a month ... diagnosed XRay as a bone spur. I obviously had pain in the anterior region of shoulder and also in bicep area. ... again he was pushing the cortisone shot ...no mention of a possible Ultrasound and or MRI... kept insisting I had arthritis et al on third and final visit last month. My baseline is that I'm in amazing shape physically ( exercise x5 weekly ) and can ( pre injury) still throw footballs 30 yards downfield on a spiral. Throw a frisbee 70 yards. And still box for sport ! He was aloof , condescending and had this amazingly annoying habit of dictaphoning his patient notes in front of me while I was in the room- post haste appointment. What Dr does that ? Can't even wait a skinny minute after I leave. When I finally exclaimed that "maybe an MRI is warranted/ indicated " he was angry that I'd suggest such a thing. Amazing. I have an obvious torn shoulder ( limited range of motion without pain ) and he still wants - 7 months post injury to go with cortisone ... He finally acquiesced and wrote a script for an MRII'll get my treatment elsewhere. This Dr is terrible. ...

I have been a patient of Dr. Irving Strauchler for at least 25 years. He has guided me through numerous orthopedic conditions over the years, including four arthritis-related surgical procedures. Dr. Strauchler is caring and compassionate. Most recently, he’s guided me through a painful lumbar spinal stenosis diagnosis, recommending an excellent physical therapist and the right medication in the right dosage for nerve pain. I followed his guidance and am now feeling much better. Dr. Strauchler’s nurse, Jane, as well as the front staff, all reflect Dr. Strauchler’s ethics and integrity

I was recommended to Dr Strauchler from a friend because I was having hip, back and leg pain for a year. I did a few weeks of PT but needed to see if the problem was serious. The moment I walked into the office, I received nothing but a friendly vibe. The staff was warm and comforting and Dr Strauchler is funny, informative and thorough. After my checkup, it was decided that I get a cortisone shot and since that time I’ve had no pain. My follow up visit resulted in a diagnosis of bursitis and I was given exercises to do and a return to the office as needed. I would highly recommend Dr Strauchler to anyone who has orthopedic issues.

Dr. Strauchler has treated me for different problems over several years, and I've always been very happy with the results. His nurse Jane is wonderful too.

Dr. Strauchler is a wonderful doctor. He's treated me in the past for very severe back problems, which I was able to overcome by his help. I go to him whenever I have a sports injury and always get top-notch treatment. He also does not hesitate to treat the "whole person" and address other issues beyond orthopedics, when necessary. And beside providing medical treatment, he provides advice on what can be done to avoid needing to return for further treatment. All of his office staff are very helpful and caring.
