Amit Setya's Online Review Report Card

I went to Community Medical Center’s Emergency Department for the 4th time with a still undiagnosed condition that had me in so much pain I couldn’t get out of the fetal position. I was given meds to make me able to breathe at least. Still in great pain but not thrashing about, in the public hallway of the hospital, not even behind a curtain. Amit Setya saw me from down the hall. He looked at me, asked me NO questions, but told me I am a liar and an addict, because he could SEE I am “not in that much pain “. He refused to examine me, did not even ask about medical history, which he had available, but told me I’m a liar and an addict. The nurses at the station where they parked me, heard him call me an addict and a liar, and so did several people being wheeled past me. I have 2 State Licenses, but here is a doctor telling everyone within earshot that I’m an addict.

Dr. Setya loves to use an odd assessment technique that does not involve vitals or a patient assessment. He has done a lot to harm my Right to "Continuity of care" and always does so with the worst bedside manor. He thinks his first thought is the correct thought, and the rest of us, especially those living with the illness know nothing. Dr Setya seems to make patient choices based on if it will cause drama, as he seems to really enjoy drama. Every time I hear him entering my ER room to "treat" me for a chronic condition I know it will be a bad day. He also happens to be the Assistant to the Director (although he will say Director sometimes, I am sure by accident) and he loves to throw that minor amount of power around to cause drama for a patient who is hardly hanging on as is. Arrogant, and with poor optics when it comes to patient care, poor bedside manor, and a tone of disrespect in every word he speaks, it is amazing he rose to Assistant to the Director. He is truly something to behold.
