I'm not sure how this doc got on all of these lists of best doctor! For someone with such a specialty to only see a patient for an exam of baby's heart for 2 minutes total is such a waste of my time and money! Thank goodness I have amazing insurance that covers his visit with no deductible, but wow, I've never felt this unimpressed or comforted by a doctor before. He has absolutely no bedside manner, did not engage in any conversation, said all of about 10 words, and didn't engage with me while he was doing the exam. I asked a question about the baby and he redirected me saying it wasn't important. Good LORD! Not to mention the terrible office staff!!! No warmth or compassion, almost like robots in there. The woman at the front desk who also sits in the exam room wouldn't even help me up off the table and was disgusted when I reached my hand out for some assistance (getting a 3rd trimester mama from a completely flat position to an upright position without moving the table or lending a hand!!!). I cannot believe these people deal with pregnant women and children, because they really are in the wrong field. I should have read the reviews before going to this doctor, AND the response from Owner which I find even more furious. With so many doctors in the state and we're so close to NY with other fabulous doctors and facilities, it would be more wise from a business standpoint to be careful how they respond.

This office made sure to update me on my insurance preauthorizations and gave concise instructions prior to visit. Dr. F was very thorough & gentle with the echo exam. Don’t listen to the negative reviewers that only complain about insurances or finance. A great professional practice like this is necessary and can’t run without proper compensation for their hard honest work!

I've been seeing Dr. Fernandes since about 18 weeks pregnant after my son was diagnosed with a complex heart defect during a routine ultrasound. He really has been so wonderful throughout my pregnancy, and now is doing such a great job with my little one. He is very knowledgeable, thorough, compassionate. The front desk staff really does a great job as well making sure you're prepared for appointments and keeping things running smoothly. Highly, highly recommend.

The front desk staff are rude, unprofessional, and inconsiderate. I have never felt more uncomfortable at a doctors office. I'm not sure why there is no clinical medical assistant or nurse to assist with patients, but the front desk staff do not seem to have enough clinical knowledge or consideration to be bringing people back or handling medical questions regarding preparation for the appointments. I have never felt more exposed and treated in such an unprofessional, uncaring way. A patient shouldn't have to ask multiple times to have the exam room door closed prior to exposing any part of themselves. The doctor was knowledgeable, but didn't have very nice bedside manners. Overall, I did not feel comfortable at this office and felt pushed aside and disregarded by the staff. I do not recommend this office whatsoever. Shop around first, do your research, and read reviews people!

Dr. Fernandes and his staff are highly professional and personable. I was seen in a very timely manner and was very pleased with the care provided.

My son and I have been seeing Dr.Fernandes since I was 20 weeks pregnant. Dr. Fernandes is a godsend. He’s a very patient person who genuinely cares about his patients. He is thorough and always takes the time to explain things to me in terms that I can actually understand. He’s diligent and takes his time to make sure my sons health is the best possible. Dr.Fernandes is a kind, compassionate, and brilliant doctor! His staff is no different and will go the length to make sure all is well.

He will push you to come in as much/ as often as he can (I was high risk with no issues, not even one abnormal ultrasound but was pushed to come weekly or biweekly). In 2920 peak covid. He then not only sent me to collections for a 1200 deductible, sought 30% collections on top and tried to file suit. Not cool- and not a great person. Mind you I had insurance so it’s not like he didn’t get paid.

Do yourselves a favor and actually read through the reviews posted for this doctor before going to him. In my opinion the reviews with one star have more accuracy on this staff and the doctor. Just try to avoid this place if you can. I actually ended up going to Mount Sinai Pediatrics Cardiology and saw Dr. Cohen (I know it’s a commute, but worth it) she was so sweet and actually what I expect a Pediatric Cardiologist to be. The staff there was also amazing. Also, on all the negative reviews the response that either the doctor or staff posted on here is just wow. Really eye opening!
