This doctor used to be good, however He had gotten to big. He only does big jobs where the money is now. He has lost sight of human suffering. He does not call back his patients but have his clerks do the job. It is almost impossible to get a timely appointment with him. His staff is rude. In short they have gotten to big and have lost focus of his patients.

Dr. Askin is knowledgeable, thoughtful and a good listener. He takes the time to make sure I understand the meaning of test results and my course of treatment/treatment options. The office staff is very easy to work with.

Other than waiting almost an hour in the exam room I have no complaints about Dr.Askin. I’ve been seeing Dr. Askin for 15yrs. He always takes his time to be sure all your questions are answered. He's professional, knowledgeable , understanding and easy to talk to. This is my opinion of Dr. Askin based on my Dr./patient relationship. Received a message saying I was rescheduled for a colonoscopy which was already booked out at least a month in advance. Originally they told me that’s the earliest they have so i took it. The text I received told me he’s now not available and they need to reschedule me again. No sorry. No reason. No empathy. No concern for my schedule. Just “We are rescheduling you. Do you want it or not?” This is the problem with healthcare. They don’t know why I need a colonoscopy nor did they ask. They didn’t ask about my medical condition. I saw the reviews of this doctor which I hope are good for his skillset. But it takes more than skills to get a 5 star rating. And because the way the office did it, I gave a 2. Maybe they can redeem themselves but office etiquette is a part of service. So far I’m not happy.
