List of Neil J. Russo's Reviews
Dr. Neil Russo is FANTASTIC! CARING, KNOWLEDGEABLE, and Attentive! ALL of the GREAT qualities you want in a doctor! I’m so BLESSED to have him caring for me!
It was a few years ago. He rushes things and I believe there should be a nurse assistant or other female staff member when with female patients. I was not comfortable with how things were done. Never been back since. Besides, they make stuff up about ailments. Everytime I went for a visit with that guy, there is always an issue. I had another exam done right away to prove a point and everything was negative. I think he takes advantage of certain patients. Beware.
LOVE Dr Russo! Wonderful doctor! I had difficulty getting pregnant then he found that I had 8 fibroids. He did surgery ended up being 14 fibroids! After GOD I thank Dr Russo. 6 months after surgery was pregnant with my son. Had a total of 3 healthy kids cesarean with Dr Russo. Highly recommended
Dr.Russo is the very best! He makes you feel comfortable and always answers any questions you may have .
Dr Russo is an exceptional dr. he delivered my first son 25 years ago and he was amazing, after not needing OB anymore I had switched to my GP for yearly check-ups, now a problem has arised and I am heading right back to Dr RUSSO because he is the best !!
Today Dr. Russo made me cry. He barely listened to my symptoms and was extremely dismissive of me. He agreed to run bloodwork when I continued to be pushy. However, this is proooobably not what a patient should have to do with a doctor. I hope Dr. Russo gets back to the days in previous reviews where he was attentive and not dismissive and rude. The nurse was very nice, professional, enjoyable. As well as the lab tech who took the blood I pushed for. I should also add he basically made me seem like a nutcase always going to doctors when I don't have legit pain or symptoms. I haven't seen a doctor in 2 years and had to pay out of pocket to come back to this practice. So now I'll be poor and disappointed in what I'll be paying for!
Dismissed everything I said about how I felt during my second trimester. Didn't give much time and told me to go to a hospital if I am still feeling dizzy.
When I first saw Dr Russo I thought he was great. kind, spend time, answered questions. And then came the delivery of my child at St. Barnabus. I went into labor 10 days early, and now am convinced that he stripped my membranes without my permission. I was in labor almost 24 hours when he came in. He did a fast check and told me I need a C section. We went back and forth and I refused. He said baby was in distress but I pointed out the nurses told me it is normal for heart rate to drop during contractions as long as it came back up. He told me they broke my waters so I need the C section. I told him I read I can go 24 hours without. He told me the baby was high and not even dropping and my labor has stalled. I told him to give me petocin which he didn't offer. Frustrated he said, you've been in pain 24 hours you want to continue like this? I said yes. He actually yelled at me for refusing the C section. Finally they gave me petocin and the nurses came in and drained my bladder. It turns out he was making the call that the baby hasn't dropped since my bladder hadn't been drained. Right after there was a recheck and baby was low. 6 hours after this I delivered my baby. I only pushed twice and felt Dr. Russo practically rip the baby out. Then he was mad that I tore and referred to my sex organs as minced meat. I had PPD after this delivery and everything I went through. At my post appt he apologized and said he took out the way the hospital handled my labor on me. He has a temper and I would never trust him. You are in your most vulnerable position and he loses it. After the fact I met someone who worked with him and said he has a temper. I switched doctors and had great deliveries afterwards. Would never recommend Dr. Russo.
Entire office is incompetent.
If you’re looking for a new OB and reading these reviews KEEP LOOKING. Do not go to this group of doctors. Majority of them treat your pregnancy not you as a human. I’ve seen every dr in this group. All but 1 ignored my creeping up blood pressure weekly. Being my first pregnancy I listened to their direction until my bp was uncontrollable and I had to give birth early. If steps were taken to prevent induction and control/maintain my bp my baby and I would of had a better experience leading up to and after birth.. do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. If you’re looking for a practice that cares about your well being and overall health this isn’t the practice for you. Because THEY DONT

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
