List of Priya Patel's Reviews
Dr. Patel is a nasty, condescending person who has no business working in healthcare. She dismissed my concerns and had the audacity to bill me for extra time when she barely spent 10 minutes with me. I will NEVER return to her group
Doctor has no bedside manner. She’s nasty and speaks in medical terms no one without a medical degree can understand.
I would not recommend this doctor. She will make you feel like she is doing you a favour by spending 5 min with you.
Doesn't know what she's doing.
Zero stars. She delivered my third child. I was treated like a slab of beef. Not professional. Horrific stitching. They still hurt 2 years later. I'm so sorry my baby decided to be born on her day to work in the delivery room.
I went to see Dr Patel after working up the courage to disclose the intense pelvic pain I have been having for years that the prior Rubino group doctor shrugged off as “normal motherhood.” Dr Patel repeatedly shamed me for not coming in, dismissed my concerns, told me I was not in pain because I did not scream loudly as I was examined. I feel hurt and I cannot believe I did not walk out of the visit but she was so intense I just froze. Do not go here. I called and switched my provider in the parking lot after my visit.
So... I went to Dr Patel at Rubino Group because I was concerned about my increasing problems from fibroids. Dr Patel has 0 bedside manner. She does not listen to your history, other than to take notes. She did not understand why I questioned the fact that they don’t do Ultrasound as a part of women’s well care. (In other practices, this is standard) Six months later I have been seen by another doctor, who is thorough and has empathy. According to my new information, I have needed a surgery (probably a hysterectomy) for quite some time. Dr Patel NEVER informed me of the measurements of my uterus or what was happening inside. I am disgusted and furious that she is able to practice. I have had 2 children via natural childbirth with the help of a wonderful midwife in Manhattan. I assure anyone who reads this review...I know the difference between good and bad health care. Spare yourself and NEVER see this horrible doctor. You deserve more.
I've met the other doctors in Rubino group and found them professional except to this MD. It was my first time seeing Dr. Priya Patel. I would say "my first and last MD i will see in this group"! I was late for 10 mins due to road construction near my home and I got re-routed. I called the clinic asap as a courtesy to give them a heads up, but it took awhile before a receptionist answered my call coz I was put on a wait list. As soon as Dr. Patel saw me, the first thing she said "We thought ur not coming..We're supposed to be on our last patient"... I was shocked what I've heard, to a point that I asked her to repeat what she said... Wow! I found it so unprofessional, rude and lack of bedside manner..I felt I was rush in and she never covered me while she examined the baby's heartbeat..She just hand me a piece of paper towel so I could wipe the gel on my belly and didn't even help me to sit up.. she had seen me in less than 15 mins. Pls save urself from unprofessional care!
Terrible bedside manner, arrogant, and does not listen or address concerns. I do not recommend going to her
I was in a bind and needed a same day appointment. Dr. Patel accommodated me right away. She was very knowledgeable and by far one of the nicest OBGYNs I have ever came across.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
