List of Richard W. Eytel's Reviews
I took my daughter, who was experiencing serious dental problems, to see Dr. Eytel. Our experience could not have been worse. Dr. Eytel was nasty, condescending , and showed clear signs of failing aptitude. Dr. Eytel should not be practicing pediatric dentistry, Whatever he may have been in the past, he is not now. He should be avoided at all costs.
Dr. Eytel was wonderful with my son. He took his time with us and made sure our first visit was a positive experience for my son. The assistant was wonderful - she was silly and kept a smile on our faces the entire time. I would highly recommend Dr. Eytel.
Mr. Eytel, is terrible and demeaning and should not be dealing with children as he is not very friendly. Regret going there and will mt o back.
I would not recommend Dr. Eytel. He was not gentle or kind in any way. He was disrespectful to my child and I will never go back.
Dr. Eytel and his staff are very rude. He is the pediatric dentist closest to my house and I called because my two year old fell and hurt his teeth. He refused to speak to me over the phone or see my son because he is too busy. He even refused to call back later into the day. I am shocked by how uncaring this children's doctor is. Will never call this office again.
It's taken me a long time to write a review of Dr. Eytel. My children were little when we first went--my daughter needed some special care for her teeth that would require gas. While Dr. Eytel was/is very knowledgeable, he was a complete and total jerk to me. When I tried to comfort my little girl during her first difficult procedure (she was 4), he yelled at me. (And all i was doing was telling her it was okay.) Over and over again, he talked to me like I was an idiot--or worse. It was traumatic. Not sure why we returned a few times. Finally started using the other (female!) dentists, who are very nurturing, warm, and supportive.
As a former patient who has 3 children who now see Dr. Eytel I can say he is wonderful. I trust he will give the very best care to my children, the same care he gave to me for 20 years. I would recommend him to anyone.
My kids have gone to Dr. Eytel for two years and they love him. He is a big, gentle bear of a dentist who clearly cares about kids. He talks to them without talking down to them. He pulled my daughter's 2 eye teeth practically pain-free and she eagerly recommended him to a friend who also needed teeth pulled for braces! There is a large waiting room with video games for the kids. There usually is not a long wait past appt time. Staff is efficient and friendly. Their dental hygienists are sweet and very skilled with kids and all their issues.
I have to say that Dr Eytel is very rude and not nice at all. He is probably doing a great job but all for the money. He suggested a procedure for my son that would cost over $1500. The other choice was a simple procedure costing $260. He refused to do the simple one and insulted me when I call him. Sorry but I could NOT recommend this dentist to anyone.
Dr Eytel is a pediatric dentist and our family thinks he is wonderful. I have 6 children and one of them has a lot of dental problems -- she loves him. She actually asks when is it going to be time to go see Dr Eytel again and she is only 5. I feel very thankful to live only about 15 min. from his office -- but if I had to I would drive far to bring my kids to him. He is excellent with all the kids, no matter what age. His knowledge and experience of 30 years make him the best pediatric dentist out there. I esp. appreciate his efforts to treat as conservatively as possible. I have been to many doctors with my kids and his bedside manner is excellent. He takes the time to explain things to them, is very kind but also firm.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
