you diagnosed my mother at monmouth medical hospital in long branch for metastatic breast cancer.you were very insensitive to my mother and to me.show a little compassion to people who are dealing with life ending situations will you.five months to live?she passed away after three weeks.you are not GOD.you should never tell someone to have a nice day after receiving a receiving a death sentence.if i could give you rating lower than a one i would.
I don’t know how this woman works for Monmouth Medical or even more in the health care business!! My father on the telemetry floor for only two days after hip fracture surgery came in and right in front of him was telling us we needed to make a decision as to his life plan - she wanted us to make decisions like he didn’t have a chance - totally caught us off guard - absolutely no bedside manner and seemed like she just wanted us to give up on him - that woman needs to leave health care!
I was in hospital ICU. I could barely speak. But I knew what was being said. She called my wife and cousin on phone and basically put me on a death bed. Like she was getting a bonus or a high if i was to die! No bedside manners… just a cold cold individual!! Oh and when she called my wife to talk there was a bunch of dogs barking and said she had to get to a meeting…. What a caring doctor
This "Doctor" told my grandmother she was going to die and scared her so bad. There is is something wrong with her. Why is she still treating elderly people?
when she gets pain managed (goal of a pain management doc), she then decides you don't need the medication that is managing the pain. No compassion, empathy, or even basic knowledge of the medications prescribing (said that after 6 years on an opiate, going off would cause no withdrawal which is medically inaccurate). Go to a different doctor PLEASE.
She repeatedly changed my medications for no reason- my pain was managed well- she didn't understand why my pain was managed on a low dose so she told me I had to stop taking the medication I've been on for 6 years due to permanent damage in my spine after cancer radiation. (only saw her for 1 year). I had to find a different doctor to help me and make a plan (if the plan was to tier down that's fine but she wouldn't tier or help). Very callous. Told me, stage 4 cancer patient, that I'm stable and fine and to "take over the counter medicine". My other providers were horrified and are helping me instead.
It may be hard for doctors to tell patients they are dying, but it is a perverse pleasure for Shira Goldberg. She is sadistic and conveys it with brutal harshness. Yes, it must be done, but a doctor should be able to show some human compassion. Do not take your loved ones to her. She speeds her diagnosis by causing fear and stress and assigning a hospice team that keeps the patients too drugged to eat or drink or function and prophetically, they die. This was the case with my mother.
Unprofessional, rude, disrespectful and awful. STAY AWAY
Unprofessional, unfair, rude and disrespectful. STAY AWAY!
My experience is limited because she was filling in for my regular doctor. I called because I needed to refill my pain meds. Dr. Goldberg told me I could not have the script for another week. I explained that I was running out and needed to have this done. She then told me I should have enough pills. WELL I don't and I took them exactly as prescribed. She then told me that arithmetic doesn't lie. And what did I do with them. Do NOT ever see this fool of an MD. In fact if you see her Run FAST.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
