Joel S. Mendelson's Online Review Report Card

My son had an appointment in March where they did an allergy test. Dr. Mendolson said he would call the following week with the test results. It is now going on FOUR MONTHS and no one has ever called me. I have called several times myself to get the results but I have only ever been able to leave a message and no one returns the call. The doctor and the staff at his West Orange office are absolutely USELESS, do NOT bother ever going to them.

He is Wonderful with kids!! and moms! My favorite doctor of all. 😊

He is good with kids but will never go an extra mile to figure out what really happened to your child. Even after I showed him pictures of an obvious allergic reaction, he just laughed and said "yea that's allergic reaction but I have no idea on what."

He's an excellent doctor!I had changed my diet to vegetarian to try to get healthy and felt worse than ever.My regular doctor told me I would just get used to it but to see Dr Mendelson . I saw Dr Mendelson and he listened carefully to my newfoods and went through ingredient lists I brought in. He was able to identify foods he knew could cause allergic problems We did testing and problem solved! I didn't even know you could be allergic to lentils When I removed this from my diet the nausea episodes stopped! Very happy I met him!

Even though I showed up late they still did their best to get me seen and didn't make me feel bad about it. Dr Mendelson was very carefull to be gentle with my daughter yet do a very complete exam. 1st time she didn't cry with a doctor!! We were able to identify all of her problems in one visit and I left finally understanding what had been going on with her and how to prevent it. No more antibiotics!!

This office is exactly what you need when dealing with children and allergies. Dr. Mendelson himself is very gentle and kind when dealing with the children. The office is small enough where you never feel overwhelmed and you get one on one attention. My children recently got their flu vaccines from Dr. Mendelson and he was better than any nurse they have ever had at their pediatrician's office. He was amazing!

Dr. Mendelson listened carefully to my daughters complicated story involving hospitalizations and lots of blood tests and cat scans. He was very patient with her. She usually hates doctors but he has an upbeat manner that she liked. Me too. She has asthma , food allergies and severe eczema. Dr. M put together a simple treatment plan and helped me deal with her school. Highly recommend him!!!

I have had a bunch of visits with Dr. Mendelson in the past few years. He's so good with my kids they actually love going to the office. Beth and Barbara his front desk people are wonderful. I love that i always see him and not a nurse practitioner or assistant. I find its better to see him in the Mountaindide office because at the other offices there are medical students an residents following him around. He has never disappointed me. I trust him completely.
