Dr. Weinfeld did surgery on my ankle a little over a week ago. The doctor is wonderful. I give him 10 stars. Knowledgeable and caring. His staff is excellent. Thank you Dr.
Dr. Weinfeld answered all my questions, very knowledgeable, quick wait time, staff at the 66th st location is friendly and helpful.
Terrible bad manners
Dr. Weinfeld and the staff were so pleasant and helpful... I’m 72 and I fractured both inside and outside of my ankle in a fall. He has the best bedside manner always concerned for his patients. I had a wonderful surgery in November and I’m currently in physical therapy almost done with everything... He performed a great surgery on my ankle and I would sing his praises to anyone who needs ankle or foot surgery. He was very caring and the whole experience was very greatly appreciated! Thank you Dr Weinfeld and staff!!
Performed bunion surgery on me over 3 years ago. Misdiagnosed a serious clot in my leg post-surgery. Literally misread a report. I self diagnosed and sought care that potentially saved my life. Foot and entire leg in constant pain 3 years later. Still cannot feel my surgical toes or bend them. Have terrible leg and hip pain that is not responding to physical therapy. Never saw him prior to going into the OR and my husband had to seek him out for hours after surgery. Told me I can’t drive for 6 weeks after my surgery because he forgot that it was my left foot not right. I was isolated in my home longer than necessary, because wasn’t paying attention. DON’T WALK, RUN (if you can) from this “surgeon”. He has caused me endless pain and suffering.
steven weinfeld operated on me about 9 years ago and i am still suffering from the 4 systemic infections i contracted due to his incompetency. he cut my foot open 3 times as he never knew how to properly remove a simple neuroma in my foot. so as of then my entire autoimmune system is thoroughly compromised.
I found Dr. Weinfeld through my internist, who is also at Mt. Sinai. I had an excellent experience in his office. His staff is very professional, and the wait time is under 30 minutes. Luckily, I don't need surgery, but Dr. Weinfeld examined my foot and took a detailed history of the injury. He advised rest and wearing a boot to immobilize the ankle. then, physical therapy. This was based on MRI results and examination. He accepts Medicare, which is something that is not common for well-known orthopedists.
I went to Dr. Weinfeld after several months of foot pain. I have inflamed tendons in one foot and he explained his diagnosis and suggested wearing a boot and icing for inflamation of the tendons. He asked me quite a few questions and examined my foot while explaining the MRI results.
Did awful job on bunion surgery- didnt explain anything- now have to have reconstructive surgery to repair all the damage he caused- stay away!
Couldn't be happier with my care in this office. Kind, caring , considerate.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
