Hackensack Meridian Health At Pascack Valley's Online Review Report Card

Dr. Chinchancar tried to force an induction for my 38 week pregnancy just because the baby was measuring small but all other reports were showing there was no medically necessary reason besides the NST remaining at a 2 which isn’t a clear test. Her attitude towards myself and my husband because we didn’t want to do what SHE was saying was distasteful. She is solely about the money a hospital would make from inductions and my birth would’ve probably ended in a highly medicated induction and c section if we followed her poor medical advice. I felt like she talked down on other professional staff that were present also. She was one of the worst doctors I’ve come across and she impacted my view and what I will be telling people about my experience at Pascack forever. We declined her forced scare tactics medical advice and went home. My labor began naturally by my water breaking HOURS later and having a healthy baby no thanks to this terrible doctor.However, aside from Dr. Chinchancar’s disregard to a clients right of self determination and cocky attitude. I loved the nursing staff here, they were very kind and helpful before my birth, during and after. My midwife was amazing and the lactation consultants were extremely knowledgable and helpful for breastfeeding skills. The food was also good which is important during a birth stay. Overall I enjoyed my stay and experience at Pascack and it is sad that one horrible doctor caused me to put a 3 rating. I’m happy my husband and I stuck to our instincts and educated ourselves on letting our labor happen naturally since there was not a medical emergency present. Staff was professional and efficient Treatment was received quickly Reason for my medical issues found.Medications ordered for after discharge. Highly recommend this hospital especially ER Services

My room was nice. I had the BEST nursing care. The nurses had to help me up and to the bathroom each and every time. My PT, Albert got me up even though I was sure I couldn’t get up. He taught me how to use the stairs and was very positive with me! Megan, my day nurse, also was very positive with me....I was in a lot of pain and they wanted to see me progress. HORRIBLE! Hours in ER lobby, Hrs more in a makeshift ER room- no TV or bathroom. NOT taken in order came to ER; many at same level taken at diff times depending on the Nurse. When complain @front desk, they told us complain INSIDE. Literally saw a Dr as I was walking out/discharged, had to beg many times for pain meds, my nurse frantic. NEVER going back !HORRIBLE! I was under the care of your wound care center for over a month. That department is wonderful. Very efficient and handled everything with care. The staff is fabulous and Dr. Bastidas is wonderful.

The new Pascack Valley ER is just wonderful. Staff was knowledgeable and courteous, and the on call doctor could not have been more professional.
