I’d considered bariatric surgery for awhile, and finally decided to take the plunge when I learned about Dr. Kakkilaya. I’m SO very glad that I did! His office is run very professionally, and both Dr. K. and his staff are wonderful! They answered all of my questions and concerns, and I know that I’ll continue to have lifetime support. Liz was always promptly responsive when I had any questions, and is a wealth of knowledge. Vitalese keeps track of my eating habits and supplement use, and makes sure that I’m treating my body right to remain healthy and in control. All 3 (Dr. K., Liz, and Vitalese) make it clear that they really care about you as a person, not just another patient in the line. This was truly a “100% satisfied” experience!!

Dr. Kakkilaya helped in making me a better version of me. I so glad I put my fear of surgery to the side and had the gastric sleeve done. Dr. Kakkilaya made me feel safe and comfortable. He answers any questions I have and always returns every phone call (even when I was calling 1am after surgery). I recommend anyone looking into weightloss surgery to allow Dr. Kakkilaya to be your Doctor of choice.

Dr. Kakkilaya is a great bariatric surgeon. He listens to your questions and concerns and is always able answer the questions and reassure you. If you are thinking about bariatric surgery he is the doctor you should choose.

I am only 9 weeks post op, but my life and health have changed for the better. Having dropped 47 lbs already, my body is hurting less (I have Lupus) and my ROM has greatly improved! The staff in Dr Kakkilaya's office are outstanding and feel more like friends at this point. They are loving, kind, supportive and always there for you. This was one of the best decisions of my life! My health is of upmost importance to me and that is why I chose this surgery from the beginning. Its a blessing and I dont intend on wasting it!

I can’t find enough words in the dictionary to describe how thankful I am for Dr. Kakkilaya and his amazing team of associates. In July 2020, I experienced some health issues which brought me to seriously need to put an end to my nearly life-long obesity struggles and consider bariatric surgery. I had my consultation with Dr. K and his team a couple weeks later and immediately knew I was making the right decision. Not only is Dr. Kakkilaya extremely knowledgeable and personable, his honesty coupled with his bedside manner is enough to have anyone know they are under the best care possible. This was the first surgery I’ve ever had in my life, and going through it alone due to COVID was nerve-wracking to say the least.. but Dr. Kakkilaya put me at ease every step of the way. I also can’t say enough great things about the rest of the staff, including Liz and Lisa. Liz is such a wonderful, caring person, and from the moment I met her, I knew we were going to work well together. She was also there for me every step of the way and always made herself available whenever I had a question or just needed to talk. Lisa is extremely knowledgeable, and her nutrition classes are very thorough & detailed. I’ve learned so much from her during this journey and continue to do so every time I meet with her. Everyone at the office is a pleasure to work with. It is also comforting to know that a lot of the associates have gotten bariatric surgery as well, some also by Dr. K, so you immediately have that instant connection and supportive feeling knowing that you are not alone in this journey. My surgery was on November 17th, 2020 and I have lost almost 140 pounds from my highest weight of almost 400 pounds - and I am still going! I look forward to each visit with Dr. Kakkilaya and his team. They are like visiting old friends. My ONLY regret throughout this entire process is not doing it sooner. Thank you so much Dr. K! I truly believe you saved my life.

Dr. Kakkilaya performed my surgery in March 2015. By far, he is the absolute best around, and I so glad he is my doctor! He advocates for his patients, is a fantastic communicator, has great bedside manner, and so much more!He treats his patients with the utmost respect and makes you feel like family. There aren't enough words to explain how wonderful he is! I have no regrets with choosing him for this life-changing surgery!

Dr. Kakkilaya is the best. Everyone in his office is friendly, helpful and really care about your success.If you are looking to have surgery, I highly recommend . It is a life changing decision and you should trust the best - Dr. Kakkilaya. I am only one of his success stories . Had the sleeve done Oct. 2020.I have no regrets.
