List of Monica Dhingra's Reviews
Dr Dhingra is the best, so caring and compassionate and takes the time each appointment to really chat and get to know how I’m doing. Seeing her and going on medication for the first time in my life has been absolutely life changing and she’s been the most helpful guide every step of the way.
I Love Dr Dhingra! She listens to me & helps me work through all my symptoms. I would definitely recommend her. She's great!!!
What a horrid woman. My husband spent 4 months in the hospital and under the direction of his go made an appointment with a psychiatrist. The purpose was to maintain meds and talk to her about a proper diagnosis etc. She was extremely rude and asked him why he was coming to her, he was baffled… never again!
I highly recommend Dr. Dhingra. I've had an excellent experience under her care. Despite encountering differing opinions in other reviews, I find Dr. Dhingra to be exceptionally compassionate and attentive. She consistently inquires about potential adjustments to my medication regimen and actively listens to my apprehensions. Together, we collaboratively determine the most appropriate course of action for managing my medication. Dr. Dhingra's professionalism is evident throughout our interactions, and I value the quality of care she provides.
I was seeing doctor Monica Dingra for years. I ended my visits after discovering a Durable Power of Attorney under my father and myself. Unaware that this abused legal binding agreement was also misused under the care of my psychiatrist within my father‘s actions to make not only my financial but medical decisions. I was heavily sedated on 400 mg of Abilify injection twice a month biweekly. I honestly stopped taking it because I couldn’t function normally but I was also under a housing assistance that would threaten me if I didn’t take my medicine and so was the same for Dingra. We broke the camels back for me was when she told me, she knew me better than myself. Using psychiatric hospitalization as a threat where is this time? I had no food, and it was stressed not having support of what should’ve been through a durable power of attorney I was on unaware existed. I have lost so much faith in the mental health associations that is very hard to put my trust into these people, especially when I run into many like Who are undermining your feelings and gaslighting you to think you’re your own issue when your expression should be validated, it should be heard. I am happy I am no longer with her.
Exactly the opposite of what a good psychiatrist would be. Lacks empathy, compassion and any understanding.
I met Dr. Dhingra during the pandemic when my medication for a mood disorder stopped working. She provides excellent medication management; her kindness and intelligence saved my life. I don't expect psychotherapy from her, as psychotherapy is not part of medication management treatment. However, our conversations have helped me take responsibility for my own life. I've gone from being dangerously suicidal to living a healthy and fulfilling life. I strongly recommend this doctor.
Dr. Dhingra has been so far the best psychiatrist we could ever have. She sees a lot of our members with intellectual disabilities and she has both the patience and the professionalism to speak to them. We love Dr. Dhingra and recommend her as one the best psychiatrist in NJ.
I found quality of care very poor with Dr. Dhingra and that she over promises and under delivers when it comes to patient care. I would not recommend her as a thoughtful or well-informed provider who is attentive to the needs of her patients. She is rushed and does not return important phone calls she has stated she would. I am hopeful patient reviews truly do get provider's attention as I realize this may the only way to get a provider to actually change their behavior for the better. This is the provider/ doctor's responsibility. My advice is seek better treatment elsewhere.
She is a very nice doctor, however, you only have 15 minutes for your appointment . It is ridiculous, you can be in the middle of discussing something really important and she turns around, starts writing your prescriptions and basically cuts you off when the 15 minute mark is approaching. It is a “ factory”, get the patient in and take the next one. Also, the front desk employees are extremely rude.
