Andres Peisajovich's Online Review Report Card

Dr Andres Peisajovich and his staff were so pleasant and so accommodating. I've seen one other rheumatologist and I was never cared for like Dr Andres Peisajovich cared for me today. Dr. Peisajovich was very thorough. I didn't feel rushed and honestly felt like he cared about me. I recommend him to everyone!!! He's great and a very good doctor!

A week ago I received a call from Sandia Rheumatology to schedule my appointment. I have Lupus and was referred to this provider because I also have arthritis related to the lupus. Well, I couldn't answer the call since I was on a zoom meeting. Since then, I have made several calls trying to get my appointment scheduled. Nobody ever answers the phone, and nobody returns voice messages. This is totally unacceptable. The longer they take to return phone calls, the further out the appointments will be. I know there is a provider shortage in Albuquerque, but we are people with health issues, not just a chart number or revenue source. I was a health director for many years before moving here, this is very unprofessional. UPDATE: So, today, I once again tried calling and actually got a person on the other end. I told her I was contacted a week ago to schedule my appointment and have been calling daily to try to schedule my appointment. since then, all I get each day is the answering machine, I left messages but never received a return phone call, so I was happy to finally get a real person on the other end. She put me on hold to check my record. Attached to my referral was a note from the doctor stating: due to the review I posted, he will not see me. People, rather than rectifying the situation, and dealing with his staff over not returning phone calls, he refused to see me. This doctor does not care about patients. I advise, anyone who has had issues with this doctor that has exacerbated health issues, to report him to the New Mexico Medical Board. I will be also contacting my insurance company to file a complaint. Again, he is very unprofessional.

My mother was the care of this Dr. for over 3 years and treated well. He was attentive and conservative. His staff was wonderful, but office policies sometimes impractical and financially punitive for unforeseen circumstances. While her case was Textbook, I felt secure potential complications would be met successfully. We encouraged discourse regarding eventual medication change several times to newer treatments hoping to eliminate side effects and increase compliance. I am disappointed that I must amend this entry to share my mother being dismissed after missing 2 appointments though she very apologetically paid the $50 fee each promptly for them. Short term memory issues had developed and this office in spite of 3 years of our accompanying her to visits would not confirm her appointments with us to prevent failure. I have never had an office show such lack of compassion for a challenge that is continuing to worsen and devastating for her quality of life. These unintentional failures do not occur with other providers. My mother is an 82 year old retiree from APS after a 44 year teaching career specializing in language arts and elementary multicultural communications. It is hoped her RA treatment elsewhere will be more evolved; as the antiquated regimen prior triggered such severe nausea compliance was impossible.

Dr. Peisajovich is fantastic. He always takes the time to listen to everything I have to say. He wants to get you better and will try different things to achieve improvement. I am glad I have him to manage my auto immune conditions. He is very knowledgable, good at communicating, and I trust him.

I have been seeing him for the last 18 mos for newly diagnosed gout. He has been very thorough in his exams, lab tracking and med follow-up. His manner if friendly, but very professional. He spends much time explaining diagnosis, current treatment and long term plans. I would gladly recommend him to others requiring care of rheumatologist.

Most people who have an autoimmune disease, know that your symptoms start long before they show in your blood work. A doctor should know this as well, and should actually listen to their patients. If you want a diagnosis of fibromyalgia, without him actually listening to you and your symptoms, be sure to see this doctor. If you’d like a doctor to actually listen to you, and try to figure out what is going on, don’t go to this one. It seems from talking to other patients, and seeing these reviews, his go to diagnosis is fibromyalgia, no matter your symptoms. I wasn’t even looking to take meds, I just wanted a diagnosis so I could manage my autoimmune disease properly. He’s nice until you start questioning his diagnosis of fibromyalgia. If you dare to question him, then he turns into someone not very nice at all. Save yourself from being gaslighted and go see someone who actually cares to listen to their patients.

Dr. Peisajovich is a great Dr. Very caring he has been heaven sent in the care of my 83yr. Old mother he is the only one that has even brought relief of her pain,swelling just over all pain and suffering thank you Dr Peisajovich

Dr. Piesajovich needs to keep up on the latest research. He told me I had chronic fatigue syndrome and to see a psychiatrist. Turns out chronic fatigue syndrome hasn’t been considered a psychiatric issue for at least ten years. The CDC even recognizes it as a “real” disease. I read his other reviews online, and he handles fibromyalgia the same way. How can a doctor in one of the richest and advanced countries in the world be so ignorant? I’m now bedridden.

I was sent here after experiencing crippling fatigue, widespread pain, and severe cognitive dysfunction. He ran a few tests and told me the abnormal results were because I was fat. He then proceeded to tell me to go see a psychiatrist, because obviously this was all in my head. No, I have a severe form of a neurological disease. This man’s brain ignorance is astounding.
