At 17 dr alvarez made me feel unsafe and in pain during my kidney stone journey. I had to have a stent put in after a kidney stone removal. After a couple of days it had to be removed.the stent removal process was painful, during the procedure, dr alvarez realized he was using TOO BIG of a scope up my urethra to remove the stent. He proceeded to RIP IT OUT, and tell me to stop crying. Im sorry but you should have a scope flushing water a size too big shoved up your urethra and see if you cry. No bedside manner, no sympathy, he was extremely condescending and it still goves me nightmares almost ten years later

Best doctor I have ... he is knowledgeable, investigative, humorous,friendly and kind. Thank you doctor Alvarez for taking care of me and being so skilled at what you do.... your staff is great too..

I've met a lot of good doctors, but among good doctors Dr. Alvarez is an excellent doctor. When I met with him it was clear that he had taken the time to read my chart and really think about things before he even walked into the room. He was very clear and explained everything to me in ways I could understand, excellent bedside manner. Thankfully he had good news, he figured something out that your average non-nephrologist wouldn't and didn't understand. All around great guy. I look forward to working with him in the future.

The doctor and staff are very warm and welcoming. I've been a patient for about five years, so I've visited at least ten times for routine care. Dr. Alvarez always listens carefully and offers helpful suggestions. I have not had any major medical conditions, though, so I can't speak about treatment. He shares the practice with his sister (also Dr. Alvarez). Wait times are between 10 - 45 minutes.

Highly disappointed in this office and Dr. Alvarez as a "physician". My 81 year old mother who survived breast cancer, who has a heart valve replacement, who is bed bound from a botched hip replacement, was sent home with antibiotics for a burst abscess (the swollen gland Dr. Alvarez initially told her not to worry about) was not healing. The wound care RN nurse that was coming to treat her advised that he had to get his supervisor involved due to the lack of response from Dr. Alvarez office as he never submitted an order, or replied to the future call in to update him on the non improvement. It's horrific how a "Doctor" who took an oath, can neglect and brush senior citizens to the side, can't even return a phone call!!!??? Appalling. It's been 5 days since she completed her antibiotics, the RN advised to find a new primary care physician for my mother, and we are taking her to the hospital since "Dr." Alvarez chose to neglect her care.
