WONDERFUL! I THINK I FILLED THIS OUT TWICE.

Dr. Averna is one of the best doctors I have visited. He is very knowledgeable and caring. When we decided the best procedure for my back pain, he opened up his schedule to include my procedure for the VERY NEXT DAY as we were flying to Glacier for a 50th anniversary trip in just a few short days. This doctor is very special and I will never forget his empathy and compassion. Thank you, Dr Averna.

Dr. Averna is a great doctor and really makes you feel better. He treats you like a patient not just a number. The care I have received at NM Orthopaedic has always been the best. I highly recommend them and especially Dr. Averna. He made me feel important when he responded to my text messages quickly and that is not done anymore. Thank you so much for caring and listening to your patients.

First steroid shot in my back. Dr Averna and his team did fantastic. Ultra professional, caring, efficient. And best part - 3 years of constant back pain 80% gone! Every tiny aspect of life we all take for granted is so much better. From rolling over in bed to getting in and out of my truck.

Dr. Averna is an amazing doctor who really cares about his patients - which is becoming harder and harder to find these days. He explains what your injury is in a way that’s easy to understand and teaches you anatomy along the way. Dr. Averna is extremely knowledgeable and empathetic, as he’s also had a history of back problems. When receiving a steroid injection, he’s very gentle and tells you what’s going on (if you want to know). He’s constantly checking in during the procedure to make sure you’re doing okay. He’s happy, friendly, and you’ll leave your appointment having a better day than it started. I highly recommend Dr. Averna.

Once again, Dr Averna, who makes a patient feel more cared for and more comfortable than any other physician I’ve known, resolved my last layer of pain today and I am in tears - it’s been 15 months since I’ve not had pain when walking, sitting, standing, even just shifting my weight. Words cannot express my gratitude but even more, I want to thank him for making the procedure comfortable and easy - every time. Plus he’s so darn funny - had to ask him to stop the comments as I was laughing with a needle in my back - but most important, his relaxed demeanor transfers the patient!

Dr Averna is the first doctor to listen to me. He took the time to find out all of my symptoms, what my day to day looked like and what activities made my pain better and worse. He was very patient to explain my diagnosis and treatment plan. Dr Averna’s treatment plan helped my pain and took away the debilitating headaches I have had for the last 20 years. He is so kind. I have recommended so many people to him and will continue to. He is one of the best doctors I have ever seen!

I was very disappointed with this doctor. Rushed through pictures and had to ask him to back up and slow down for explanation of my condition. Was completely rushed and ended up running out of the room saying he wouldn't help or recommend other dr's to me. Felt completely lost, and was no further along with answers than when I went in. Maybe even worse off because of dismissive attitude exhibited by this dr. Was fooled by number of positive reviews.

Hands down the best! Upon meeting Dr Averna you realize right away why he's a specialist in back pain and that you are in good hands. He is thorough and confident in his ability and he will answer your questions in a way that makes sense. He understands having gone through multiple back surgeries himself, he knows what its like being on the other side as a patient, his compassion leads the way and his bedside manner is irreproachable. On top of all that, Dr Averna is a really cool guy, I have fun with him and his staff every time I'm in there! This is an easy review to write and I could go on and on. If you are scrolling through these, this is the answer your looking for, YES! Call and make an appt! I send everyone I know who is suffering with back pain, knowing they will thank me. (i just have to say, whoever gave one star is out of their mind and clearly has bigger issues than their back pain)
