List of Richard Wachs Md's Reviews
Did NOT listen to any of my concerns, the techs at his office could literally care less and obviously didn't want to be there. He didn't explain anything to me, he honestly just wanted me in and out of his office and made me leave doubting myself and my concerns. He was just overall kind of rude and left a really bad taste in my mouth. NEVER going back to Aspire Allergy even if my life depended on it.
Waste of time, waste of energy, waste of a doctor. "doctor" Richard Wachs does not care about you, does not take into consideration past medical documentation and does nothing to truly diagnose the cause of your allergies. After 5 minutes with you, he'll send you on your way with no diagnosis, no care and a frustrating bill. Please do yourself a favor and find someone else, literally anyone else. Found a real Doctor weeks later that has provided care, guidance and a functional approach that has alleviated my symptoms and led to an appropriate understanding of the root cause.
Was very arrogant and had no empathy at all. Would never go to him again or refer anyone to him.
Not impressed at all. Received no help for my allergies.
Dr. Wachs is an amazing doctor! My daughter’s Asia and Harper both had a severe allergic reaction this past Halloween to a Snickers bar. (Allergies are peanuts and treenuts). When we came to see Dr. Wachs he actually cared, and answered all of the questions we had. I hope we have him for a very long time. We would not want any other doctor. He’s great! I hate seeing all these negative hateful reviews about him. He is really such a great doctor with so much knowledge. Thank you Dr. Wachs. We really do appreciate you.
STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. If I could give zero stars I would! The ladies working there were fantastic, but Dr. Richard Wachs was horrible! EXTREMELY RUDE, CONDESCENDING, ARGUMENTATIVE, and ARROGANT, with absolutely NO bedside manner. He actually stated to me, "I don't want to argue with you," when I asked questions regarding my symptoms and testing. Are you kidding me?! He had absolutely NO knowledge of the most accurate food sensitivity test that's available (MRT) and tried to imply that it was some type of pseudoscience that no one was utilizing which is not true. The test is widely available and is backed by quantifiable irrefutable scientific research and is available worldwide! Unbelievable. I calmly explained to him that it had the highest efficacy of any food sensitivity test available and that he should do some research. For him not to know this was mind boggling to me but considering his unwarranted arrogance, I'm not surprised. This is not anyone that I would EVER recommend and I would be embarrassed for this person to represent my practice. I encourage EVERYONE to not go to this location as long as he is there. I feel sorry for the ladies working there because I'm sure they feel the same way about him. Just another stereotypical arrogant allopathic "Doctor" not trying to find the root cause of a patient's symptoms, just coasting along with his license not truly caring about his patients.
I am abundantly impressed with Dr Wachs and his CNP, Mary Ellen. For a year we have collected symptoms and labs trying to determine what was affecting my 1 year old. When I reached out to Dr Wachs at BreatheAmerica, I was extremely pleased to find he was willing to communicate ahead of the appointment with us to ensure it was a good match and both he and CNP, Mary Ellen, reviewed all of our symptoms and labs in detail before we arrived. Within a few minute appointment, we had a diagnosis we had an impossible time getting without invasive labs other doctors wanted to perform. Mary Ellen had superb knowledge and bedside manner and Dr Wachs is extremely knowledgeable. What impresses me most as a mom is when doctors truly listen and give you the benefit of the doubt on reactions you KNOW your child is having. I got all the time I needed to ask every question without feeling rushed. I also applaud their willingness to reach out to other doctors out of state since the syndrome my daughter has is rare and complicated. I am SO PLEASED we made the decision to see Dr Wachs and his team. This team sets the bar for medical care. ~ Happy Mom of baby
Arrogant and didn't listen.
WAS EXCITED WHEN HE GOT MY SON AN APPOINTMENT THE NEXT DAY CONSIDERING THE OTHER LUNG DOCTORS COULDN'T SEE HIM FOR 2 MONTHS. ARRIVED AT THE OFFICE 15 MINUTES BEFORE THE APPOINTMENT AND WAITED WITH MY 4 YR OLD AND 2 YR OLD FOR ALMOST 2 HOURS IN THE WAITING ROOM. NEVER RECEIVED AN APOLOGY OR ANY UPDATES. EVENTUALLY HAD TO JUST GET UP AND LEAVE. NEVER AGAIN!
I made an appointment with Dr. Wachs a couple of weeks ago. He had to cancel & reschedule. Understood. When I showed up for my rescheduled appointment WITH A CONFIRMATION EMAIL OF MY APPOINTMENT, I was told there was no appointment scheduled. Extremely frustrated, and will discourage anyone I know of making an appointment with Dr. Wachs.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
