told me my foot pain was caused by my back. went to back doctor they told me my foot pain wasn't caused by my back
I went in for a minor issue back in March 2021 and first the experience was great. The care team and doctor have good bedside manner and made the experience as painless as possible. Issues started when I received notice of a bill through an automated text in November. I was unaware of an outstanding bill because I had moved out of the area during the summer. I called for clarification and was immediately threatened with collections because it was past due. I tried explaining that I could not pay a bill that I was unaware of. The office assistant got very defensive saying that they mailed the statement to my previous address and it was my fault for not updating them on an address change. I tried explaining more that I did not think I had any reason to update them on my address because I did not know I had a balance with them and was not seen at this office regularly and my visit was a 1-time thing. I asked why I didn't receive a phone call or any other time of communication after the mail correspondence was unresponsive. They continued to be defensive that it was not their responsibility and only mail out statements and I should have told them I moved and that my balance would be going to collections. As a student, the threat of collections is intimidating when I feel that there was clear miscommunication and it was not my fault for not updating a 1-time office of my address change when at the time there was no need. Since then, another office assistant has been working me to get me my bill and has been understanding of the situation.

was no help for me. told me my back was causing my foot pain. went to back doctor and they said it wasn't my back
Few years after surgery my ankle is still the same. I have trusted several doctors in the community but I would not recommend this doctor. GET THE SECOND OPINION.
Dr Wallen cares for his patient’s. You couldn’t find a better surgeon in the state of NM
Dr. Wahlen is an amazing doctor and surgeon! He is very easy to talk to and takes his time to explain everything in way that is understandable. This newly opened office is completely remodeled with state of the art x-ray equipment, computer systems, and is beautifully maintained. Definitely the best foot and ankle surgeon in the state!
Dr Whalen is an EXCELLENT Dr! He knows CARE. Saving my 40 year old sons (Daniel Palomino) quality of life. Can't say enough about this Man...Its been a few years ago,, but I've never forgotten the care advice and recommendations .
For starters this was the 2nd time I broke my ankle therefore I new more or less what to expect. At least I thought I had. From the moment I saw Dr Whalen at 6pm when he arrived for my emergency surgery I knew this was going to be different. I was advised what his thoughts were and his action plan. Things were worse when he saw what happened however he was able to place my bones back together including a severed nerve. I just got out of post op and my staples didn't hurt and im looking forward to a fast recovery. Thank you Dr. Whalen
I would recommend Dr Whalen to anybody seeking an honest, caring Dr with excellent bedside manners. I broke my ankle again however this time was completely better in every way. I just got out of my post op and his staff was on par.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
