List of Peter Zeegen's Reviews
Fine physician and very kind and thorough. Answers all questions and takes as much time as he needs. Because of aging he voluntarily retired from surgery. Refers to other outstanding physicians in his group for that. Skill set is phenomenal and clearly up to date on all modern medical techniques. Founded and built the most outstanding group of ophthalmologists in valley. Would refer anyone to Dr. Zeegan and members of that group.
Dr. Zeegen is one of the best eye doctors around, but his practice has become so successful and so large that when you go for your appointmentyou feel you are like a part on an automobile assembly line. Surgery? Top notch; human relations not so much.
I showed up for my scheduled appointment only to be told that the doctor did not accept my insurance. It was the same insurance I told them I had when I booked the appointment. Of course, I was presented with the option of seeing the doctor anyway, but at an out-of-pocket cost “beginning” at $275. Why a business would tell a patient it accepts a specific insurance plan when setting an appointment and then turn that patient away at the time of the appointment, after the patient has taken time off to make it to the appointment, baffles me. Considering it was clearly their mistake, I think the visit should have been comped. Perhaps, I got off cheap. The last thing I need is an uncaring eye doctor. Thanks a lot for wasting my time Peter Zeegan.
Dr. Zeegen has been my eye doctor for many years and has always taken the best of care for me. I think fondly of him and appreciate his expertise and caring concern. Many thanks for all the yesterdays and today’s.

Cannot recommend. . Dr. Zeegan was my cataract surgeon. He recommended a premium lens replacement for my left eye cataract surgery that was supposed to replace contact lenses or glasses. This lens cost me $2000 extra. But Dr. Z failed to consider how my prior retinal detachment would prevent the lens from working properly. So AFTER I spent $2000 extra for this lens Dr. Z told me the damaged retina would prevent it from working. They did for me except charge me $175 for a contact lens Rx!

14 years ago, I had a successful LASIK procedure performed by Dr. Zeegan. No more hard contact lenses (sever astigmatism) and I enjoyed perfect vision. This year my vision declined and Dr. Zeegan found that I had developed cataracts in both eyes. These post-LASIK astigmatic eyes again are enjoying perfect vision after Dr. Zeegan's pain-free, hassle-free cataract surgeries. Thank you!
I'm so thrilled with the wonderful experience I had with Dr.Peter Zeegen for my cataract surgeries. Both operations were totally painless and extremely easy. By the next day I could read small print clearly, as well as see sharply for great distances for the first time in so many years. He was warm, kind, and very professional. His busy office staff were also excellent in every respect. I would highly recommend Dr. Zeegen for anyone needing an opthamologist!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
