John R Thomas's Online Review Report Card

I would bring a blind stray cat to Dr. Thomas John. He does t wash his hands, office is filthy. Staff is rude.

The Doctor himself is very kind. Very soft spoken, where you constantly have to ask him to repeat himself. But be very prepared to wait an extremely long time for your appointment. Like at least 3 hours or more before you are done. The waiting rooms are always so overfilled with patients, and we just stare at one another for so long, wondering when our name will be called. Then the technician finally calls us. So we see him. Then sit down for at least another hour or so to be sitting in the doctors office. To only wait for another 30 min for the actual Doctor to come and see us. So, 3 hours or more later, and they tell you to come back, or even worse, to go to the orland office to do the exam bc the oak lawn office doesn't have the machine they need to do your exam. So, if you have a whole day to waste and be bored and pissed off out of your mind, Dr. Thomas John's office is the place to be.

What a JOKE! This office was ridiculous and disorganized. They didn't verify insurance prior to seeing patient then charged CASH. EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL!!!! Obviously should NOT be practicing medicine. They preform procedures prior to checking coverages, they held us hostage until (staff) finally called on insurance then told us paying for non covered procedures should fall on us. They Dilated my husbands eyes before asking him if he had a driver to get him home. It was a horrible experience! I'm shocked they are allowed to be in business. Awful staff and sketchy doctor AT BEST! If I could give them a negative star rating I would. Please do not go to this doctor.

My mother and I have been Dr. Thomas John's patients for many years. We share the utmost respect for his professionlism and his work as an ophthalmologist and cornea specialist . I want to say that Dr. John has worked with my mother and I solving our very serious and critical eue problems. He is a valued practioner and as his patients we value his opinions and his willingness to always counsel. We will reccomend him to our family and our fri8ends and that means we recommend him to everyone.

Terrible. My mother's appt was at 10:20, it is now 12:23 & we were only just now brought back to see the Dr... They are so overbooked that there is a conference room down the hall being used as an overflow room. This is the #? time my mother has been to this office & he has not fixed her problem. Each time she has had to pay a copay. Mom has been in pain for a week & after several phone calls, she was finally told to make another appt... Avoid this Dr at all costs!
