Dr. Duran closed his office several weeks ago due to Covid-19. I have been calling his office and speaking with an arrogant young lady by the name of Julie. I had an upcoming appt. with Dr. Duran so I asked her if she would get copies of my CT's, lab work, etc. from Providence Hospital in El Paso where I was hospitalized for 3 days in March. Julie continually transferred me to another employee named Valerie while Valerie continued transferring me back to Julie saying she was responsible for getting the test results. It took at least 7 phone calls to the office to finally complete what I originally asked for. I was polite and pleaded with them each time. I have an upcoming surgery on May 29th in Phoenix so I needed a Clearance Letter for Surgery from Dr. Duran. What I got instead was a letter from Duran stating he will no longer see me. Google my review for Southwest Center On Aging for details. I really won't miss my 3 min. appts. with Duran or having to deal with his office.

I find it very difficult to understand why a clinic specializing in geriatric patients does not have doors that open with a push of the handicap button. Patients have to navigate 2 doors (manually opening each door to get into the clinic). This is crazy as many of the patients are using walkers or are in wheelchairs.

OVER LOOKS ISSUES THAT COULD BE CRUICAL TO HEALTH SPENDS AS LITTLE TIME AS POSSIBLE AND DOES NOT REVIEW LAB WORK TO BE ABLE TO DISCUSS

He does not believe in saving patients of a certain age and does NOTHING to treat them or call in specialists who can help.He does not respond to the patients med care proxy person or return calls for help or consultation by them.Does not tell them what is really wrong with the patient until it is too late to get help. He releases patients who have highly infectious diseases to infect others & can not stand & must be hospitalized again.Some have lost their lives.We found out too late.
