Lovelace Regional Hospital's Online Review Report Card

I almost died due to a stomach infection. By the time I got to the emergency room, I was in really bad shape. In the emergency room, No messin' around. The staff there got right in there and did their job professionally. From there I was taken upstairs to a room. I was there only maybe an hour while all the test were done to find out what I had. Then the ICU. I swear, the best nurses on the planet. Within a day, my vitals started improving. I was close to death when I got there, six days later I was discharged and went home.I can't find a thing to complain about as to the Loveless Hospital in Roswell NM. They say to arrive at a particular time for surgical services which is normally an hr or so before SCHEDULED time so that all prep is taken care of. This is all understandable. However, please please !! If we have to wait for an extended amount of time, get comfortable seating in the main lobby!! This is the best hospital I've ever been. I recently had a good experience there. The nurses were so kind and so patient with me. I just had my baby there. They took good care of me and my sweet baby.

Waiting is the name they should have chosen for this hospital as that is the number 1 thing you'll be doing here. Long time too, as I don't recall ever being seen quickly for anything. Emergency room being no exception either. Last visit I waited 4-5 hours just to be transferred to another facility that was capable of performing the surgical procedure I needed. Staff was (mostly) nice and friendly with what felt like genuine concern for my health and safety. ER sucks at administering anything but the lowest levels of pain medicine so if it hurts really bad, go to Eastern. They're a little more lenient than Lovelace with the good drugs. But there you'll wait too. Last visit to Lovelace was because wait time at Eastern was beyond excessive so this was "the lesser of two evils" in my case. But they're always courteous and professional and it just always since it opening seemed like the "nicer" of the two facilities. Have never had a hard time with any of the staff as I have in the past with the other ER (Eastern). So this is usually my 1st choice for emergency care unless excessive pain is present. I can say that it's got it's down points too just like anything like their strict adherence to certain policies and proceduresNo doubt I would recommend this hospital over the other but like all hospitals they just wanna get paid and get you outta there. Everything was wonderful. From Dr Peterson, to the Staff. Our nurse Jacy an Reina were both very knowledgeable an helpful to my fiance an I. My only concern was the Anesthesiologist in my opinion was very rough. She had to "try" three times to insert the epidural catheter. Not very medical professional if you ask me. My fiance had bruises. Never the less was still very satisfied with the service the Professional medical staff provided. Glad to see some people in health care enjoy their job. Brought my husband here for migraine he was in a lot of pain and the nurse said he was being rude because he was talking loud answering her questions. She told us we could leave if he wasn't nicer to her. If she is that sensitive she should be working at Wendy's and not a hospital. My husband is a disabled veteran and she treated him like trash on the street. I will never bring him here again. Everyone I met during my unexpected visit to the ER, then on to the to OR, was so caring. Chad in the ER was a great first person to encounter. Dr. Wenner displayed a warm bedside manner and "fixed me good" in the OR. Dr. Levi was very pleasant and informative. I couldn't have asked for a better outcome.
