List of James H. Auerbach's Reviews
The doctor is wonderful but I waited over 3 months for an appointment and was not told the office had moved. I'd been going there 20 years.
6-month checkup
Most of us pay out of pocket at this office, and a procedure was done without my permission and they expected me to pay. Is that right???? NO! NO one there will return my calls or answer my letters when stating why I refuse to pay. Instead, now have threatened me with collections. Where are the rights of the patient?
I've been going to Dr. Auerbach for years and years and I have had nothing but good experiences with everyone there. I think he's no longer taking new patients.
This review is just and only for the receptionist and her name is Cindy. I just needed to make an appointment and when she said the earliest availability is January I asked if she could able to find any for November. She suddenly got upset about me asking the request and said I was rude. I did not know if asking a question was rude for her. I said ma’am, I am just asking you a question. Then she said the best way to have an earlier appointment is to call and see if we have any cancellations. I said that is great. For now I will keep the January appointment just in case. And I said I am sorry what was the time and she just hung up on me saying I was rude again. I was completely shocked that I cannot even ask a question to her. If this is the way she treats to everyone, I am surprised that she is still there. I called back again and another lady picked up the phone and able to make an appointment for November without even asking.
I had been a patient for over a decade. It takes over six months to get in to see Dr. Auerbach. Staff was condescending to me when I called. When I asked to speak to the office manager, Peyton Auerbach, I asked if she would even call me back (since I had little faith in the office), and was told she may or may not call me back. I switched to another Dr. on August 9th. On the same date I called back to the office and cancelled any future appointments. I left a voicemail on the physician assistant's voicemail as well as with a live person at the front desk, explaining that I've moved to a new doctor. Ten days later I received a certified letter from Dr. Auerbach stating that, due to my dissatisfaction with his office, he would no longer provide dermatological care for me. Furthermore, he wrote that my "missed appointment fee" will be adjusted off my account. Not only did his physician assistant and front office person appear to not convey my messages to him on August 9th, but I did not have any missed appointments, which makes his mention of a missed appointment fee irrelevant. The letter that I received appeared to have been backdated to August 9th as the postmark was dated August 14th. This whole experience reinforces my reason for changing doctors and my relief not to have to deal with Dr. Auerbach's office ever again.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
