If you want a doctor with no grace or bedside manner, he’s your guy. He was programmatic, didn’t listen well, and rather abrupt. Not my preference for care when not feeling well.

I've had two visits with Dr. Kumar with satisfactory results both times.

Dr. Kumar has been my primary care provider for almost ten years. Overall, I have been pleased. He is knowledgeable; he listens carefully; his prescribed medications are effective, and his referrals seem correct and generally bring good results. However, if you are looking for a warm, companionable "bedside manner," Dr. Kumar is not your man. I would describe him as "friendly but not your friend"--in short,the consummate professional. He is your physician, not your buddy, and I am fine with that.. I recommend him.

Unfortunately Dr. Kumar is a doctor with non-existent interpersonal skills: he has no (zero) bedside manner. He is an excellent diagnostician, but he is completely unable to express any compassion or warmth. After ten years I stopped seeing him after he laughed at me for describing side-effects from medication he had prescribed. He refused to accept that I actually had "real" side effects, saying it was all in my head.

I believe this Dr. Is the worst Dr. I'm sure i've ever experienced. Unfriendly manner. Somewhat rude. My first and last visit to this guy.

Idk what you guys are talking about. I feel that Dr Kumar is a terrific and very caring Dr. Staff has always been nice and friendly. Maybe you just caught them on a bad day. You know everyone is entitled to an off day right? 5 stars from me no doubt.

I agree with the other reviewer. Good luck finding a decent doctor in "small town silver city," as the nurses at the hospital so rudely say...

My hip replacement surgeon commented without solicitation on the quality of data Dr. Kumar provided them prior to my surgery. He and his staff seemed genuinely surprised at Dr. Kumar's thoroughness. I would have given him a 5, but he needs to work on interpersonal skills with his patients.
