Dr. Deitrich was recommended to us when my father was having issues breathing. He seemed like he was a competent physican, at first. We were new to all of this and did not have prior experience with lung issues, so we had no reason not to trust him. My father had an MRI and after reading his scan, Dr. Deitrich told him he needed a follow up appointment in 6 weeks. We felt confident that everything was ok, primarily because he did not mention any real concern. We knew my father had fibrosis but this was a routine visit. In 6 weeks he had another scan. Dr. Deitrich viewed the scan in front of us and his exact words were “oh my It has grown”. The “it” he was speaking of was cancer. Not just lung cancer but stage 4 small cell lung cancer. He had seen the spot and made the call to not tell us and wait to see what happened. It had already spread to his lymph nodes and liver. He passed away 6 months later. We wanted to sue for malpractice, but it was his word against ours. He saw that spot but took it upon himself to brush it off and wait 6 whole weeks (which is a lifetime to small cell lung cancer). There are many other things to write about him but just trust me. Run, don’t walk if this man is referred to you. There are so many other wonderful physicians. Don’t risk your life or loved ones life on this man.
would highly recommend him. Very professional, does not rush through his appointments and willing to talk and listen to you.
Acknowledging that he is a medical professional, he was cordial and refreshingly pleasant. He registered that my time was important, and made accommodations. He was thorough on collecting info for diagnosis.
Dr Detrich is one of the best Ive encountered. Pulmonary and sleep are his speciality. Excellent! Love him!
Outstanding professional practice!
