Dr. Gupta is awesome. Always professional but friendly, with personal knowledge of patient and his history. She is always on time and will give as much time as it takes to satisfy patient's questions and concerns.

Dr Gupta is one of the foremost Nephrologist's in the area. Her PA Nina is also exceptional. They are both very educated and experts in kidney issues, they listen and take time to answer questions. We have never had to wait more then a few minutes for an appointment, they have great scheduling procedures. Both Dr Gupta and Nina are very kind and compassionate and treat their patients In the highest regard. We are so lucky to have these medical professionals in our town. Thank you for such wonderful care and concern

When a physician tells me twice that she (or he) is way behind schedule and has other patients to see and terminates with “I want to go back to Canada,” well, I want her to go where she is happy. As she spent most of the initial meeting with explanations of conditions that I have had for 20-30 years well, it is no wonder why she was behind schedule. When she explained to me in detail why a medication I use sparingly for pre flight anxiety for 20 years may be addictive well, thanks but I don’t think that I am quite yet an addict in need of psychiatric counseling. I was duly impressed that she was a pharmacist PhD and an MD who practiced in Canada and was twice impressed when she retold me of this scholastic achievement. I was less than impressed when she twice informed me that she would ask the questions and that I should wait my proper turn to ask my insignificant inquiries. I wish her well with her Canadian clients but I am not sure that her Sparks, NV approach is always well received.

My husband and I have seen several nephrologists (and even more doctors, in general), and this is the first time a doctor has been practical and realistic about living with kidney failure. She did not give panicky advice ("Oh my God! You need to be on dialysis NOW!"). Instead, she encouraged us to move forward with looking for a kidney, but not to worry, we have time, and will only need to do dialysis prior to a transplant. Hurray! Arika had a good sense of humor, didn't treat us like we were stupid, and gave us a lot of hope (all new experiences for us!).
