List of Eng Keong Tan's Reviews
He is very thorough, the only dr who actually listens. He calls people right away with diagnosis. Not much of bedside manner but I'll take it.
This physician is prompt, efficient and caring. He gets a full history and then continues to ask questions to ensure both you and he understand eachother. Highly effective!
He is very through. Keeps you on track. He takes the time to talk with you. He really cares about you and has a very nice way of telling you when you are off track without you realiizing it. Love him
I was referred to Dr. Tan by my Primary who is amazing. I'm big on making sure my Doctor's have wonderful bed side manner. Dr. Tan for my first appointment was wonderful, he does talk slightly fast, since I work in the medical field I feel I have a little bit of an edge of keeping up. When asking me questions he didn't talk over me and when we went over everything we had made a game plan of the next steps. He uses MyChart so I am able to write him messages and he got back to me within the same day. All in all I think he's great!
Very knowledgeable in Diabetic & Thyroid conditions and how to manage and use an insulin pump.
My primary care doctor found my thyroid to be borderline, so I was sent to Dr. Tan. Subsequent tests showed that there was no problem, but as a new patient, Dr. Tan did a complete workup on me including adrenal tests. I can see why some might not like his bedside manner but a thorough clinician is much more important to me.
I changed my endocrinologist from one based in Reno to Dr Tan. He immediately took my case file and saw what I needed in follow up care. Now I won’t have the drive to Reno, but I feel assured Dr Tan is more than capable of meeting my endocrinology needs. We sorely needed another endocrinologist on our side of the Sierra’s and I am grateful a doctor of his caliber has stepped up to meet our need here!
Off subject for why l was seeing him, lack of respect, talking over me to convince me to take a medicine that l absolutely should not take. Ignoring my personal experiences.
Dr. Tan was very frustrating. I saw him just after giving birth to my son to help me adjust my insulin levels after all of the hormonal changes and breastfeeding. He said he could help adjust my levels but wouldn't because diabetics never listen anyway. He went on to offer multiple books that I should read to help myself (Type 1 Diabetics need doctors to prescribe insulin no matter how well read we are). I never went back due to this discouraging interaction and then he cancelled my prescription, forcing me to come back or find a new endocrinologist. This office, Dr. Tan especially, has no bedside manner or respect for their patients already struggling with health issues. The office would not give me a referral to a new endocrinologist, so I was forced to schedule with my primary care provider to get one. This is all while my insulin supply is low and doctors are incredibly far booked out. Thoughtless office.
Absolutely horrible doctor. Gave me a diagnoses without even touching me or talking to me. spent the entire visit printing out pages about my BMI.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
