John R Sutton's Online Review Report Card

Was a patient for many years . Horrible endocrinologist. Never regulated my thyroid levels in 5 + years . He is a pusher of synthroid and will not continue being your doc if your taking anything other than synthroid to regulate you thyroid. Very weird relationship with his sister the nurse. If you need positive results go to anyone else .its a freak show there you'll see for yourself.

My name is Patricia not Preben. I’ve been with Dr Sutton for well over 10 years, the negative reviews are unfair. He can get snarly yes, but he needs to be given a chance to work his magic. Follow his instructions to the letter and give him a chance.

I have been meaning to write this review for some time.I was treated by the Dr. some years ago. Dr. Sutton is fantastic.  I  was in grave danger health wise and the Dr. new exactly what to do.and what meds to prescribe. After treating me for some time, the decision was made for surgery.  The follow ups were good and its been three years and  I feel great.  I would highly reccomend Dr Sutton and his staff .  Wonderful!          Vince B.

This Dr. is one of a kind. He is very methodical and focused on getting his patience back in the saddle again . He takes his time with everyone so he is well worth the 2 hour drive in. Ms. Liz is his "Sister Secretary and keeps everything running of course. Just love them both and very grateful for their care over my Mom.

I found Dr. Sutton to be pompous and condescending. He was very fixated on adhering to his particular ( and odd)office practices. He was not efficient in reviewing lab work. He would generally refuse to discuss my lab results with me, using a form letter instead, in between appointments. The office itself is chock full of dust collecting kitschy decorations. I would not recommend Dr. Sutton .

My opinion: Dr. Sutton is a pompous and condescending man. Do not stand in front of him. A button could pop off his lab coat which is 2 sizes too small...bodily injury could result.

STAY AWAY! I've never experienced an experience such as this one and I work at a high volume Dr. office. Dr. Sutton was extremely rude the entire visit and I left fee extremely unhappy. I called the next day to cancel my follow appointment that was made and was told it was cancelled. Now I'm being charged the original co-pay amount for my first visit (that I paid upon check out), and cancellation fee, and a $75 administrative fee? Absolutely  ridiculous. Save yourself the time and money and goTo an Endocrinologist that will treat you with respect and handle their schedules and money accordingly.

If i could give less then one star, I would. Horrible experience. Didn’t even make it in to see the dr. Ended up walking out. When we arrived to the office, the window was closed. Our appt was at 12:30. When the receptionist finally opened the window, 15 mins later, she told us our appt was at 10:30. I showed her the paper she had sent us, stating the appt was at 12:30. She then said she didn’t know what she could do, even though she accepted responsibility for writing the wrong time. She went back to speak with someone else. Came back and said she would “squeeze us in”. As we waited, Another patient was at the window and the receptionist was real rude with he and his wife. The patient remained calm, then got upset. As we watched this go on, I told her we would find someone else. This wasn’t the place for us. While this was all going on, the dr walked through the waiting room. He did not stop to see what was going on, or to make things right. So unprofessional.

I explained to the office that I couldn’t afford an appointment and my insulin prescription at the same time and the doctor refuses to renew my prescription. At the moment I have about three days of insulin left and cannot manage to get my prescription renewed. Even after explaining the situation I was still spoke to rudely and refusal hasn’t changed. Doctors should care for our health before they care about the money. There are many Articles and cases online of people passing away from the same issue. This is not out of spite but for people to think before this situation happens.

Takes time with my questions and is straight forward with his advice.
