Ruth Adams's Online Review Report Card

I have been seeing Melanie Adams and she is really good. Reno Dermatologist were not very good.

I've been seeing Dr Ruth Adams for twenty years. She's been amazing in every way. Her stitches (I have basal cells excised) are small, tight and barely show afterwards.

I've gone to Dr Adams for years. At my annual checkup this year she told me that she will no longer perform ANY procedures during my annual exam, that I'll have to make a second appointment. Dr Adams office will only schedule appointments three months (or more) out. If she finds a problem am I going to have to wait another three months to get it addressed? Additionally, what is this going to do to her overall patient scheduling? If only 30% of her patients now have to be seen twice a year rather than once am I now going to have to schedule my annual exams four (or more) months out? The only value I see thru this new policy is to Dr Adams' bottom line while being detrimental to her patients health and pocketbook.

Dr Ruth Adams is the best. She takes her time with patients and is very friendly. So glad we found her.

Dr. Ruth Adams is amazing. She was the first Dermatologist I ever saw and was very friendly and put me at ease right from the beginning. She has always made me feel comfortable in somewhat uncomfortable situations. She listens very well and has never rushed me through my appointment. At the time I didn't have health insurance and she gave me a discount which I didn't expect at all. I now live in southern CA. I have family in Carson City and will come all the way back and see her every time. Its so hard to find a great doctor...and Dr. Adams is wonderful! I highly recommend her.

I always arrive for my annual appt at least 10 min early. Invariably, 2-4 people come in after me for an appt with Ruth Adams and all of them are called in before me and serviced. I wait no less than 40 min each time which is horrible when I make an appt 2 mos in advance. I then wait in the room another 10 mins. I am not sure if front desk help is unorganized but when I have complained, I was told by Ruth I was welcome to find another Dr. Makes me question her business sense and bedside manner. As I only come once per yr I figured why bother, however I am second guessing my decision now 3 yrs in a row and nothing has changed. She even seems less thorough if I don't want additional treatments I would pay for. I would recommend looking elsewhere. Her husband is worse.

Dr. Ruth Adams is an INCREDIBLE and very helpful dermatologist! I cannot tell you how much she listens to our concerns, makes helpful suggestions and helps you make decisions on whatever issues you might have. She's also very friendly and doesn't rush you out of the office at all. Her husband, Dr. Jay Adams, who my sister sees is another fabulous doctor and their staff is very kind and helpful as well! I'm very grateful to have such a wonderful doctor in our area and always recommend her to everyone I know!
