He did NOT Listen to One Word I was saying. It was his assessment and only his assessment of me though he was completely off base. I went AMA on him because I was not going to allow him to pump me with medication for an issue that was Not An Issue. I was talked at, and treated in a dismissive manner by this individual.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!! I went to the Carson Tahoe ER and a man walked into the ER room and said "what's going on?". Then, I said, "Who are you?" Then, he said, "Dr. Howes". He didn't even introduce himself!! He had no expression.... He just sat there stone faced. He was very rude, condescending, uncaring and disrespectful. He didn't even examine me and said he could not help me. I would have been fine with some of the things he said; however, it was the way he said them AND it was very clear he thought I was wasting his time. He did not know or care how I was feeling. I will be reporting him... not that, that will do any good. HE IS ONE OF THE WORST DOCTORS I HAVE EVER ENCOUNTERED! SHAME ON YOU CARSON TAHOE! ... because it does not look like this was a one off moment. He has done this before. I would give negative stars if I could.

If I could give Dr. Howes less than one star, I would. I have never been treated so poorly by an ER physician in my life. A recent bout of dehydration after abdominal surgery landed me in the ER at Banner. Immediately I was told that no matter the size of my stomach, I needed to drink more and faster. I was also told that Medicaid and Medicare don’t like to cover fluids for patients who can get them in orally. If I could drink more, faster I would. I also don’t have Medicare or Medicaid!!!!!!!!
