Darren Soong's Online Review Report Card

I started with a seminar with Dr soong Jan of 2016. I needed back surgery and was 435lbs. No Dr would operate unless i lost weight. So i went to the nutritional classes and changed my diet from there. Before surgery i wasnt asked to lose weight but i did because i felt like it would just give me a jump start and i wanted to be as healthy as possible. Day of surgery 3/14/2017 i weighed 365lbs and tomorrow i will be 2 years out and im down to 180lbs. Dr soong has always been very supportive and encouraging during the process and post op. He changed my life forever and i don't think anything i do or say could show my appreciation. He is amazing and from hearing others experience with other Dr's i would only suggest Dr soong. The process did take a little longer than expected, but it gave me enough time to get right with food before i had surgery.

Dr. Soong is an excellent Doctor, and his bedside manner is great. I didn't have any post surgical problems, and all follow-up appointments were very informative. He cares about his patients!

I had a great experience from start to finish. Dr Soong really cares about hes patients. After surgery i wasnt taking fluids like i was supposed too. So i got dehydrated and had to go to the hospital. Dr Soong came to visit me personally and got on my case. He cares about hes patient.

I'm sure they're fine if you have medicaid, but if not surgical weight control center will load you up with insane fees, then the hospital will charge you separately, and they'll do this after stringing you along a 2 year process then require the payment up front. Unless you are absolutely sure the state is paying DO NOT GO HERE.

Dr Soon Never really agreed about my choice of procedure, He Still Performed it, I soon began to have trouble with my lap band, He gave me an, I told you so Attitude, When I got an appointment with him! He then got extremely irritated as the visit went on, Culminating with His use of Vulgarity ! Due to his less than Stellar & lack luster appreciation of my health care, I'm Giving a 1 * Rating at BEST !

Doctor Soong performed abdominal surgery on me in 2006. He perforated my bowel, which necessitated me having to use a colostomy bag. His manner was brusque and uncaring. He left the surgery center shortly thereafter, and opened up a weight loss center..I would never recommend this Doctor. I can't even give him 1 star..Disgraceful !

Dr Soong is an awesome doctor , he is friendly , caring and genuinely concerned for your well being and health . He is so sweet and so professional . I had surgery in Jan of 2008 and weighed 240 lbs and i was miserable , I struggled with weight my whole life , I now weigh 160 lbs and have maintained my weight for almost 4 years now , getting the surgery was the best thing that I ever did and I recommend it to anyone that has the same struggles , Dr Soong was also the best choice in doctors !!
