Derek A Duke's Online Review Report Card

I am not qualified to evaluate one surgeon vs another but I would have Dr Duke and team work on L2 3 4 and 5 again in a heartbeat . It has only been a week but what a difference.The old saying. “ If the walls could talk the tales they would tell”. may apply to the best evaluation. The recovery room nurses see a lot and she disclosed to me “ you are so lucky to have had this surgeon, he is an angel and has hands of magic!” I can confirm she spoke the truth in my case and I cannot say enough good things about my experience. What a relief!

Dr. Derek Duke is the best doctor I’ve ever met. He had such a beautiful demeanor and cares about his patients. He was truly concerned and got me into surgery the very next day. His staff is also wonderful and very helpful. The office is nice and clean. I just love this place.

This is my second back surgery with Dr Duke. The last one was in 2003 so that's pretty good if you ask me. Dr Dukes team is absolutely top notch and I would wait in absolute pain to have him and his team do there magic! Thank you did,you is da best!

I didn't like his behavior and he didn't do me much good, he had very smart remarks that wasn't very much appreciated and it's hard not to forget my experience with him,I would not recommend him to anyone.

Did much more in surgery than was needed. A simple discectomy became a 2-level decompressive laminectomy I did not need. He didn't listen to me - the patient with the symptoms.

Dr Duke and his team Are the best!! Thanks for the amazing job done to my back. I can not wait to get back to work When the time comes, right now I am in recovery process and I’m doing everything that i was told to do ( no bending, no lifting ext etc ) i am already seen the change i always wanted to, and all thanks to Dr. Duke and his team. I had Laminectomy surgery and shortly after recovery on the same day as surgery, I was up walking around, pain free. Dr. Duke and his (PA) Dan are a great team. After surgery Dr. Duke kept my pain level under control. Before I made the decision to have surgery, Dr. Duke carefully explained to me and my wife, why I should have surgery and we felt no pressure and I decided to proceed. At the pre. & post op. office visits Dan took the time to explain what to expect. I highly recommend Dr. Duke & (PA) Dan and follow their instructions, because they are very knowledgable about their field of medicine of the spine. Thanks, George H.

I had a L45 laminectomy and a L5S1 Fusion. 5 years later and still rocking. I would not go anywhere else, and send my family or friends there.

Dr Duke is Definitely the BEST in town! He did Fusion etc SURGERY on my Lower Back 11/10/22 which was a SLAM DUNK! No other Dr was qualified enough to do it so they all opted out, but when Dr Duke looked at my MRI he said I Needed Surgery! One month later I had my Surgery which went PERFECTLY! Dan, his 2nd hand man was Very Helpful in going over everything beforehand & afterwards & even took out my staples after the surgery. Both men are Extremely Nice & Helpful, & so is the whole Office Staff! I felt so extremely comfortable with everybody & am so Blessed to have been able to have Dr Duke! I would Definitely Recommend Dr Duke!! He is Heads Above any other Surgeon here As Well as Los Angeles where I am from & is So Well Respected in the medical world! I am SO Grateful to Dr. Duke!!!

He RUINED MY LIFE! If you value your health do not go to this guy. He did a spinal fusion in less than 45 minutes. I came out of the OR without a bandage on my 7" incision. Even the nurses said it was horrible. After an $80K surgery he told me "you have a bad back." After 22 years I'm still in severe pain every day. I wish I would have never seen him..
