Called office to schedule blood test/uric acid test for gout. Stated my intentions to the front-desk when I called to schedule appointment. When I arrived on 12/3 for my appointment, they pressured me into x-rays. I declined as I already had x-rays on the foot (a few weeks prior) - no inflammation, no arthritis, and nothing broken. I walked in on my own accord. They didn't bother to check my chart beforehand as I had x-rays from Urgent Care, week prior) Nope, they want to bill you for x-rays BEFORE seeing the doctor. 1.5 hours later I finally see Megan after stating how long I've been waiting. Come to find out they don't test for gout at their location. (Why did they schedule me in the first place?) Now - SSM is charging me twice for the SAME x-rays I had in November and didn't bother sending bills to my insurance. $2500 and has to be paid a month later. Gouging me on the price and no one is doing their due-diligence. I'm livid at the front desk for scheduling, the nurses pushing for x-rays before seeing a doctor, not listening to me when I told them to check the x-rays on file and Tamara in customer service who was condescending when I escalated about my experience - the same day. And not billing to my insurance. 0 Stars! What about my time off? My time on hold with the office? The time to call my insurance?
