Andrew Hwang's Online Review Report Card

Since when does a Dr. Office communicate "mostly via text" and then never get back to anyone. I have been calling and texting with no call or text back. It says it takes two business days to get back which is way too long for a Dr. Office to get back especially when dealing with new born children who need procedures done in a timely manner.

We were so hopeful going to see Dr. Hwang to help with our daughter. Sadly, it was a complete waste of time. The front office staff was standard but it was dirty and overcrowded, no place to sit 5 chairs. Dr.Hwang, spent 7 minutes with us after waiting 45 minutes. He did not examine our daughter but kept asking questions unrelated. We will never be back to see him .

I have nothing but good things to say about Dr. Hwang & his staff, so I’m writing as many reviews as I can to spread the word. His staff has communicated well through the text option, & one time I sent a text on a Sunday about some concerns I had about my son, just to have it sent sooner & so I didn’t have to worry about it Monday morning. I really wasn’t expecting a response over the weekend. Well to my surprise, Dr. Hwang himself responded to my text on a Sunday night! It meant a lot to me that he took the time to go over my concerns that night, when I’m sure most would want to relax on their night off before the work week. He always explains things clearly & I feel like he genuinely cares that not only his patients feel comfortable, but so do the parents. I never once felt like with all the questions I had that I was a burden or felt rushed/dismissed by him or his staff. I highly recommend Dr. Hwang-extremely professional, kind, patient, knowledgeable, & all around amazing Dr.!

I really was not expecting a response over the weekend and was okay waiting until Monday. Well to my surprise, Dr. Hwang himself responded to my text on a Sunday night! It meant a lot to me that he took the time to go over my concerns that night, when I’m sure most would want to relax on their night off before the work week, especially for doctors/surgeons! He always explains things clearly and I feel like he genuinely cares that not only his young patients feel comfortable, but so do the parents. I never felt like with all my questions I had I was ever a burden or felt rushed or dismissed. In my opinion, Dr. Hwang is the doctor to go to for his expertise.

I am surprised there are so many positive reviews. My experience is that Dr. Hwang is cold and difficult to work with. He is so inflexible and unwilling to work with us. Technically, I think he is competent but I would not recommend him. His staff has zero personality. In probably 20 visits, I doubt one person on his staff ever smiled or said Hi.

We went to Dr. Hwang for a second opinion about our daughter's bladder surgery. The office got us in within a couple of days of calling. Dr. Hwang took his time and explained everything patiently and clearly. We decided to have him do our daughter's surgery and were very happy with the care we received at Summerlin and from Dr. Hwang. We were even able to text him directly at night and on weekends (Sorry!) and he answered promptly! We feel very fortunate to have found him.

Dr Hwang is amazing , a true professional that is dedicated only to the true needs of a patient. I have visited a different urologist before visiting Dr. Hwang and couldn't describe in words the difference. Dr Hwang I trully wish that the rest of the doctors will have have your values and principles.

My husband and I were more than pleased with Dr Hwangs care and services!! He is a very skilled surgeon, who pays attention to detail, and is great with followup and patient care. He was great with our son and we would recommend him to any others looking for a great pediatric urologist!!
